Vogue sells its journalism through subscription plans that vary by edition, and almost all of them renew automatically on a card you save at checkout. If you want to pay for a Vogue subscription with a Coinepay virtual card, this guide walks you through what to prepare, how the sign-up and checkout flow works, and what to do if the card is declined.

Coinepay issues virtual cards with an instant card number, expiry date and CVV that you can use for online shopping, software and media subscriptions like Vogue. You will need to register and complete identity verification (KYC) before the card is active. Create your account at the Coinepay sign-up page or download the app from the App Store or Google Play.

What you need before you start

  • A verified Coinepay account. Complete KYC in the app first; card services are only available after verification.
  • An active virtual card. Note its number, expiry date and CVV from the Coinepay dashboard.
  • Enough balance on the card. Vogue charges six-month and annual orders in full when you submit them, so fund the card for the plan you choose plus any applicable tax.
  • Your real billing details. Use the name and billing address that match your Coinepay account. Mismatched details are a common cause of declines.
  • The right Vogue edition. Prices, plan names and payment methods differ between US Vogue, British Vogue, Vogue Germany and Vogue Business.

Choose the right Vogue plan

Plan names and prices depend on which edition you subscribe to. Always confirm the current offer on the official Vogue page for your region before paying.

  • US Vogue: the subscription FAQ names Digital-only (Vogue.com, including Runway) and Print + Digital (the same access plus the magazine).
  • British Vogue: at the time of writing (October 2026) the subscribe page showed Print + Digital at three issues for £1, then £19 every six months, and app-based Digital-Only from £2.29/month. British Vogue's own FAQ lists different figures (£24.99 digital-only and £59.99 Print and Digital), so check the live checkout total before you confirm.
  • Vogue Germany/Austria/Switzerland: the imprint listed a ten-issue annual print subscription and a digital annual subscription, plus student, half-year and Flex options.
  • Vogue Business: a separate membership with Standard, Professional and Executive tiers (billed quarterly or annually, plus tax). These are not ordinary magazine plans; Vogue/Runway access is included in each tier.

Because offer pages and prices change and some were unconfirmed on the day these notes were taken, treat any figure here as indicative and rely on the price shown at checkout.

Step-by-step: subscribe and pay

  1. Create your Coinepay virtual card. Open the Coinepay app or dashboard, generate a card, and keep the card number, expiry and CVV handy. Make sure the balance covers the plan price.
  2. Go to the official Vogue subscription page for your region (for example vogue.com, vogue.co.uk or vogue.de). Avoid links from unofficial sources.
  3. Select an offer. Pick Digital-only, Print + Digital, or the Vogue Business tier you want. Check the renewal terms shown beside the offer.
  4. Sign in or continue as a new subscriber. If you already have a Vogue digital account, use the same login. New subscribers are usually prompted to create an account after purchase.
  5. Enter your card details at checkout. Vogue's US and UK editions list Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover, plus PayPal, Link by Stripe, Google Pay and Apple Pay. Vogue Germany lists Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay for digital subscriptions (SEPA direct debit is additionally offered for print). Enter your Coinepay card number, expiry and CVV.
  6. Enter billing and (for print) mailing address. Use your real details matching your Coinepay account. For print plans, confirm the destination is eligible.
  7. Complete 3-D Secure if prompted. Approve the confirmation in your Coinepay app or via the one-time code so the payment can authorise.
  8. Submit the order. Vogue says the card is charged when six-month or annual orders are submitted, and the charge may take two to three days to appear on your statement.
Vogue subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel. Keep enough balance on the card before each renewal date, or update the payment method in advance.

Troubleshooting a declined card

If your payment does not go through, work through these common causes before trying again.

Insufficient balance

Annual and six-month Vogue plans are charged in full up front, not monthly. If your card balance is lower than the plan price plus any tax, the payment will fail. Top up the card in the Coinepay app and retry.

Billing address mismatch

Card networks check the billing address you type against the one on file for the card. Enter the exact billing details registered to your Coinepay card. Do not invent an address to match a region — use your real information.

3-D Secure not completed

Many Vogue checkouts trigger a 3-D Secure verification. If you miss or dismiss the prompt, the charge is declined. Make sure notifications are enabled in the Coinepay app, then repeat checkout and approve the confirmation promptly.

Merchant region checks

Vogue editions can limit which countries can subscribe. Vogue Germany says its digital subscription is available in most countries without naming them all, and print delivery is free only to Germany, Austria and Switzerland, with other destinations needing to contact support. There are also user reports of a Canadian checkout showing "not available in your country" after a charge, though another user later reported ordering from Canada successfully — so this is not a confirmed, fixed restriction. Subscribe to the edition intended for your region, and never use tools to disguise your location to bypass a merchant's checks.

Card type restrictions

Some merchants accept only certain card types or cards issued in specific countries. If a Vogue checkout rejects your card for a reason other than the ones above, contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets the merchant's requirement before you try again.

Account-verification errors (not a card decline)

Vogue documents "subscription is already associated with another login" as an account-matching issue, not a payment problem. If you see this, sign in with the account that already holds the subscription rather than re-entering card details.

Manage, update or cancel your subscription

To view your plan or change payment and mailing details, sign in and open My Account → My Profile; US subscribers can also use Vogue's support chat. For US subscriptions, cancelling through My Profile or chat keeps access until the end of the paid term with no further charge, and cancellations are not refunded. British Vogue differs: digital-only payments are non-refundable, but Print + Digital cancellations get a full refund within 30 days of ordering and a prorated refund afterward. Review the refund policy for your edition before you buy.

FAQ

Which Vogue plan should I pick?

It depends on your edition. US Vogue offers Digital-only and Print + Digital; British Vogue shows Print + Digital and app-based Digital-Only; Vogue Germany offers annual print and digital plans; and Vogue Business has Standard, Professional and Executive tiers. Confirm the current price on the official Vogue page for your region before paying.

Does Vogue accept my Coinepay virtual card?

US and UK Vogue list Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover, plus PayPal, Link by Stripe, Google Pay and Apple Pay. Enter your Coinepay card number, expiry and CVV at checkout. If the card is rejected for a card-type or region reason, contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets the merchant's requirement.

Why was my card declined at Vogue checkout?

The most common causes are insufficient balance (annual and six-month plans are charged in full up front), a billing address that doesn't match your card, an incomplete 3-D Secure step, or a merchant region check. Fix the cause using your real details and retry, or contact Coinepay support.

When will Vogue charge my Coinepay card?

Vogue charges the card when six-month or annual orders are submitted, and the charge may take two to three days to appear. Subscriptions renew automatically, so keep enough balance on the card before each renewal date.

Can I cancel and get a refund?

For US Vogue, cancel in My Profile or support chat; access continues to the end of the paid term and cancellations are not refunded. British Vogue makes digital-only payments non-refundable but refunds Print + Digital in full within 30 days of ordering, prorated afterward. Check your edition's policy before buying.
