Aruba.it sells domains and web hosting as separate products rather than one company-wide subscription. If you want to register a domain or buy a hosting plan and pay with a Coinepay virtual card, this guide walks through what you need, how the Aruba checkout works, and what to check if a payment is declined. Prices and product details below reflect Aruba's published pages at the time of writing (October 2026); always confirm the current figures on the official Aruba.it pages before you buy.
What you need before you start
- A registered Coinepay account with identity verification (KYC) completed. You can create an account and manage everything from the iOS or Android app.
- A Coinepay virtual card with its card number, expiry date and CVV, which you will see in the dashboard once the card is issued.
- Enough available balance on the card to cover the plan's first-year price plus VAT, and a small buffer for Aruba's card-registration check (see below).
- Your real billing details. Aruba issues invoices and, for some domains, applies registrant eligibility rules, so use the name and address that belong to you.
Aruba confirms that it accepts Visa and Mastercard for card payments. Whether it accepts American Express, Maestro, prepaid cards or every debit variant is not stated on its card page. Check your card details in the Coinepay app, and if you are unsure your card meets Aruba's requirement, contact Coinepay support to confirm before you buy.

Step-by-step: sign up and pay
- Issue or top up your Coinepay card. In the Coinepay dashboard, open your virtual card to view the number, expiry and CVV, and make sure the balance covers the first-year price plus VAT.
- Choose your product on Aruba.it. Search for an available domain and select its service and any extras, or pick a hosting plan. Add it to your order.
- Sign in or create a free Aruba account. During purchase you can use an existing account or create one, enter the requested customer and contact details, and you will receive an Aruba username and a confirmation email.
- Open the order summary. On the order-summary page, choose Carta di credito as the payment method. Enter any discount code if you have one.
- Enter your card details. Type your Coinepay virtual card number, expiry date and CVV, or select a saved card if you previously added one.
- Accept the terms and pay. Tick the supply-terms acceptance, then select Paga. If prompted, complete any 3-D Secure confirmation.
- Wait for activation. For domains, Aruba requests registration only after it records your payment, so an order-confirmation email alone does not mean the domain is active yet. Watch for the activation confirmation.
If you prefer, you can place the order and pay later through the Aruba payments site or Customer Area instead of paying immediately.
The €0.01 card-registration check
When you register a card with Aruba, its guide says a €0.01 transaction is placed through Banca Sella to verify the card and is automatically refunded after a few minutes. Keep a tiny buffer on your Coinepay card so this verification succeeds, and don't be alarmed by the brief one-cent charge.
Managing your saved card and auto-renewal
To review or change your card, sign in at pagamenti.aruba.it and open Metodi di pagamento, where you can add, replace or delete a saved card or PayPal account. Paying by card or PayPal activates auto-renewal; Aruba says it charges the saved method seven days before expiry. You can switch auto-renewal off beside the domain in the Customer Area without immediately ending the service. Billing details for a domain can also be updated through the Customer Area, including during renewal, and issued invoices can be downloaded from the invoices section.
Troubleshooting: card declined or renewal failed
Aruba's documented reasons for a failed renewal are an expired card, insufficient funds, or a card whose authorised maximum is below the renewal amount; it notifies customers with a Mancato rinnovo email. Work through these causes for a declined order too:
- Insufficient balance. Confirm your Coinepay card has enough to cover the first-year price plus VAT and the €0.01 check. Top up in the app if needed and retry.
- Spending limit too low. If you set a per-card limit in Coinepay (useful for business ad-account cards, but applicable to any card), make sure it is above the charge amount, including VAT.
- Billing address mismatch. Enter the exact name and billing address tied to your card. A mismatch can trigger a decline during authorisation.
- 3-D Secure. If a verification step appears, complete it in the Coinepay app. An unconfirmed or timed-out authentication will stop the payment.
- Card network or type. Aruba confirms Visa and Mastercard; other networks and prepaid acceptance are not stated. If your card is repeatedly declined, check its details in Coinepay and contact Coinepay support to confirm it meets Aruba's requirement.
- Expired card. If your virtual card has expired, issue a new one in Coinepay and update it under Metodi di pagamento.
If the payment still fails after these checks, you can switch the order to pay later and settle it from the Customer Area, or reach out to Aruba's support through its official channels.
Domain eligibility, cancellation and refunds
Some extensions have registrant rules: .it has specified EEA, Swiss, UK, Vatican or San Marino eligibility, .eu has EU/EEA citizenship, residence or establishment rules, while Aruba says .cloud has no registrant-location restriction. Use your genuine identity and address; never enter details that aren't yours to get around an eligibility check.
To stop a product at expiry, switch off auto-renewal. Requesting early withdrawal instead deactivates the domain and associated services and permanently removes their contents. Under Aruba's hosting-and-domains terms (identified as version 4.7, effective 7 July 2026), a qualifying consumer may withdraw within 14 days of contracting, with reimbursement stated within 14 days of notice to the original payment method or an agreed alternative. Later withdrawal is allowed in writing, but any refund for unused days is reduced by costs incurred, and transferring a domain away before expiry does not entitle you to reimbursement for unused time. Read the current terms on Aruba.it for the exact conditions.
Keep your Coinepay card ready
Because Aruba charges renewals automatically before expiry, make sure your Coinepay virtual card stays funded and unexpired, and update the saved card promptly if you issue a new one. You can monitor balances, set limits and view card details any time from the Coinepay dashboard or the mobile app.

FAQ
Which card networks does Aruba.it accept?
Aruba's card page confirms Visa and Mastercard. It does not state whether American Express, Maestro, prepaid cards or every debit variant are accepted. Check your card details in the Coinepay app, and contact Coinepay support if you need to confirm your card meets the requirement before buying.
Why was I charged €0.01 when I added my card?
Aruba says registering a card triggers a €0.01 verification transaction through Banca Sella that is automatically refunded after a few minutes. Keep a small buffer on your Coinepay card so this check succeeds.
My Aruba payment was declined. What should I check first?
Confirm your Coinepay card has enough balance for the price plus VAT, that any per-card spending limit is above the charge, that your billing name and address match, and that you complete any 3-D Secure prompt. If it still fails, contact Coinepay support.
Does an order-confirmation email mean my domain is active?
Not necessarily. Aruba requests domain registration only after it records your payment, so activation follows separately. Wait for the activation confirmation after your payment is processed.
How do I stop Aruba from auto-renewing on my card?
Paying by card activates auto-renewal, and Aruba charges the saved method seven days before expiry. You can switch it off beside the domain in the Customer Area without immediately ending the service, and manage saved cards at pagamenti.aruba.it under Metodi di pagamento.
