Coinepay Global Remittance supports transfers from the United Kingdom to Pakistan. You can choose an available bank deposit, mobile wallet or cash pickup payout, review the exchange rate and fees before confirming, and track the transfer afterward. The most important preparation is to get the recipient’s details for the payout method you select.
What you need before sending
Register for a Coinepay account and complete the identity verification requested in the app. Have your own accurate identity and payment details ready, along with the recipient’s full legal name as it appears on their bank or wallet account, or on the identity document they will use for cash pickup.
Ask the recipient which payout method they can use. The information needed for a bank deposit differs from what is needed for a mobile wallet or cash pickup. You may also be asked for the purpose of the transfer or documents supporting the source of funds. Gather these from the real sender and recipient rather than entering another person’s details.
Pakistan’s local currency is the Pakistani rupee (PKR). Check the send and receive currencies offered for your selected route in Coinepay before proceeding. The app shows the applicable exchange rate and fees before you confirm, so review the amount the recipient is expected to receive there.
Choose how the recipient will get the money in Pakistan
Bank deposit
For a deposit to a Pakistani bank account, ask for the recipient’s bank-recorded name and the receiving account details requested in the Coinepay transfer form. A Pakistani IBAN has 24 characters: it starts with PK, followed by two check digits, a four-letter bank identifier and a 16-character account code. Have the recipient copy their bank-issued IBAN from a statement or banking app; do not try to build one from an ordinary account number.
Depending on the payout route, the form may also request the bank’s name, a local bank or branch code, or its SWIFT/BIC. For a direct international SWIFT payment, receiving-bank instructions commonly include the beneficiary’s account name and IBAN, plus the bank’s name, address and SWIFT/BIC. A local PKR deposit route may ask for fewer fields. Follow the fields Coinepay displays and ask the receiving bank to confirm any code or account instruction you are unsure about.
The recipient should check that their account is active and can receive the selected type of payment. Pakistani banks include HBL, UBL, Meezan Bank, MCB Bank, Allied Bank and Bank Alfalah, but a bank’s presence in Pakistan does not establish that every account or payout route is available through Coinepay. Ask the recipient to check with their bank if their account has special conditions for incoming remittances.
Mobile wallet
Where offered for the selected transfer, a mobile wallet payout sends funds to an eligible wallet rather than a bank account. Easypaisa and JazzCash are two commonly used wallet providers in Pakistan. In Coinepay, select the wallet option and provider that the form actually offers; do not assume that every provider is available for every recipient.
Ask the recipient for the exact name and mobile number registered to their wallet, and confirm any additional details requested on screen. They should check that the wallet is active and able to receive the payment. A number typed incorrectly, or a name that does not match the wallet record, may prevent payout. The recipient may need to follow their wallet provider’s identification and account rules before using the funds.
Cash pickup
Cash pickup can suit a recipient who prefers to collect funds in person. Select an available cash pickup option in Coinepay and check the pickup location and instructions shown for that transfer before confirming. Give the recipient their transfer details through a trusted channel once Coinepay provides them.
The person collecting the cash should expect to present a valid government-issued photo ID, such as a CNIC, NICOP or passport, with a name matching the transfer. They may also need the pickup reference supplied for that particular payout. Reference names and collection procedures vary by provider, so use Coinepay’s transfer instructions rather than assuming another service’s reference number or collection rules apply. The recipient should verify the location’s identification requirements before visiting.
How to send from the United Kingdom to Pakistan
- Sign in to your verified Coinepay account. Use the Coinepay dashboard or mobile app. If you have not registered, create an account and complete the required identity verification first.
- Start a Global Remittance transfer. Select the United Kingdom as the sending location and Pakistan as the destination. Choose the send currency and an available receive currency, and enter the amount using the options presented in the app.
- Select a payout method. Choose bank deposit, mobile wallet or cash pickup from the available options. Enter the recipient’s full legal name and the account, wallet or pickup information requested for your selection.
- Check every field with the recipient. For a bank deposit, pay particular attention to the bank-issued IBAN and any bank code or SWIFT/BIC the form asks for. For a wallet, recheck the registered mobile number. For cash pickup, check that the name matches the recipient’s ID.
- Review before confirming. Check the displayed exchange rate, fees, payout amount, recipient details and transfer purpose. Correct mistakes before you submit. Coinepay shows the rate and fees before you confirm the transfer.
- Confirm and track the transfer. Follow the app’s instructions to complete your payment, then use the transfer’s status tracking in the dashboard or app. Keep the transfer reference and share any recipient-facing pickup instructions securely with the intended recipient.
What the recipient should know
The recipient should use the details and collection instructions for the payout method you chose. A bank-account holder can watch for the deposit and ask their bank about an incoming payment if the status shows it has reached the payout stage but the account does not show it. A wallet recipient should check the registered wallet, not a different mobile number or bank account. A cash pickup recipient should take the required ID and reference to the designated provider or location.
Receipt of a remittance can be subject to bank or provider checks, account conditions and local regulations. A Pakistani bank may request information about the recipient, sender or purpose of a payment. If the recipient needs evidence that funds were received from abroad, they can ask their bank or payout provider whether a proceeds-realisation certificate (PRC or e-PRC) is available for that transaction. For applicable bank receipts, additional foreign-exchange documentation, such as Form R, may be requested. The recipient should follow the receiving institution’s instructions.
Troubleshooting a transfer to Pakistan
- Wrong recipient details: If you notice a misspelled legal name, incorrect IBAN, bank code or wallet number, check the transfer status and contact Coinepay support promptly with the transfer reference. Do not submit a second transfer just to correct the first one. A receiving institution may reject a payment whose details do not match.
- Compliance review: Coinepay may request identity information or documents showing the transfer’s purpose or source of funds. Transfers are subject to identity verification, sanctions screening and local regulations. Respond with accurate information through the requested channel; screening also applies to counterparties.
- Status is not changing: Review the status in your Coinepay account. A transfer can be held up while the sender’s payment is processed, during conversion or checks, or at the receiving institution. Weekends and public holidays can also affect processing. If the status or requested action is unclear, contact support with the transfer reference.
- Returned or rejected payout: A bank or wallet provider may decline an incoming payment because details are wrong, the account cannot receive that payout type, or its own checks require it. Check the transfer’s status and any explanation provided, then ask Coinepay support what happens next before trying again with corrected details.
Only send to a genuine recipient using their real details. Coinepay does not serve sanctioned persons or residents of jurisdictions under comprehensive sanctions. If you are unsure which Pakistani payout details to enter or what a status means, check the app or contact Coinepay support before taking further action.
