To pay for Kayo Sports with a Coinepay virtual card, first check Kayo’s Australian billing requirements. This guide covers the plans, direct sign-up and checkout, payment errors, and how to manage a subscription. Having a virtual card does not by itself establish that Kayo will accept it.
Check Kayo’s eligibility and card requirements first
Kayo Sports is for use within Australia. Kayo says it cannot be streamed outside Australia or while a VPN is enabled, and it is unavailable in specified Very Remote Australian postcodes. Check your eligibility before paying: an existing subscription in an unavailable postcode remains active unless you cancel it.
Kayo’s current Hubbl terms require subscribers to be at least 18 and to have a valid Australian credit card with an Australian billing address, or to use an authorised third-party biller. Kayo names Visa, Mastercard and American Express among its card payment options, but that does not establish whether a particular Coinepay card qualifies under its terms or will be accepted at checkout. Contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets Kayo’s requirement before you buy. Use your real identity and billing details; do not enter an Australian address that is not yours.
If you plan to pay through a third-party biller instead, check that biller’s own eligibility and payment requirements. Billing and cancellation may then be managed outside Kayo rather than in Kayo My Account.
Choose a Kayo Sports plan
Kayo offers free-to-watch content separately from its paid subscriptions. At the time of writing (October 2026), its Australian paid options are:
- Kayo Standard: A$29.99 per month, with one concurrent stream and HD viewing, but no 4K.
- Kayo Premium: A$45.99 per month, with two concurrent streams and 4K on selected content and compatible devices.
- Kayo Premium Annual Pass: A$39.99 per month in monthly instalments over a 12-month commitment, for a minimum of A$479.88. This is not a single upfront annual payment.
Check Kayo Sports’ official pricing page and the amount displayed at checkout before confirming; prices and offers can change. Kayo says its seven-day free trial is no longer available. At the time of writing (October 2026), Kayo describes an A$1 first month of Premium for eligible new customers who sign up directly, followed by the standard monthly rate unless cancelled. Do not assume that offer applies to your account: check the terms and checkout total.
Prepare your Coinepay virtual card
- Register and verify your identity. Create a Coinepay account through registration and complete identity verification before using card services.
- Get your card details. Coinepay issues virtual cards with a card number, expiry date and CVV, which you can access through its self-service dashboard or mobile app. The app is available for iOS and Android.
- Check available funds and card details. Make sure the available amount is sufficient for the charge shown at Kayo checkout and that the card has not expired. For the Premium Annual Pass, plan for its continuing monthly instalments, not just the first charge.
- Confirm suitability before entering the card. Because Kayo specifies an Australian credit card and Australian billing address for direct card payment, ask Coinepay support whether your particular card meets that requirement. If it does not, use an eligible payment method permitted by Kayo rather than repeatedly retrying the card.
Sign up and pay on Kayo Sports
- Go to Kayo Sports’ official site. Select New to Kayo? if you are a new customer; returning customers should sign in.
- Choose Kayo Standard or Kayo Premium, then select Continue. Review the plan, any applicable offer and the displayed recurring charge. If you have a voucher, Kayo allows you to enter it during sign-up.
- Follow Kayo’s prompts to provide your real account and billing information. At payment, choose the card option if it is offered and your card meets Kayo’s requirements. Enter the Coinepay card number, expiry date and CVV exactly as shown, with your genuine billing details.
- Review the checkout summary and confirm only if the plan, amount and renewal terms are correct. Complete any verification requested by the checkout or your card provider, then look for Kayo’s subscription confirmation.
For the Kayo Premium Annual Pass, use a web browser. Kayo’s annual-pass flow starts with Continue with Premium, followed by Annual-Pay Monthly. Enter your email address or mobile number and personal details, then complete the checkout prompts. Read the 12-month commitment before confirming: cancelling stops the next annual renewal, but monthly instalments for the current term continue.
Kayo also lists Apple Pay and Google Pay on supported checkout devices, PayPal, Optus SubHub and Pay with Telstra; Telstra payment is listed for new customers only. These are separate payment routes, not evidence that a Coinepay card will work through them. Follow the terms shown for whichever route you actually choose.
Troubleshoot a declined card or failed checkout
A decline can come from card details, available funds, verification or Kayo’s payment requirements. Note the exact message or code before trying again, and check whether a payment has already appeared in your account so you do not duplicate a purchase.
- Insufficient funds or an expired card: Kayo’s terms identify both as possible reasons a charge fails. Compare the available amount and expiry in Coinepay with the amount Kayo is attempting to charge. Kayo’s 10-002-007 payment-processing error also calls for checking available funds and payment details. Kayo may retry a failed charge or ask for another payment method.
- Incorrect or incomplete entry: Kayo associates 52-017-200 with a possibly incorrect card number, expiry or security code, and 50-020-200 with possibly missing card details. Re-enter the details from the Coinepay dashboard or app rather than relying on saved checkout information.
- Billing address or eligibility mismatch: Use your genuine billing address and compare it with the details required at checkout. If you cannot meet Kayo’s Australian credit-card and billing-address requirement, do not change your details to try to pass the check. Ask Coinepay support about card eligibility and Kayo about its accepted payment routes.
- 3-D Secure or another verification step: If checkout requests authentication, follow the on-screen instructions and check for any prompt from your card provider. If the prompt expires or fails, restart checkout rather than assuming the subscription was created. Contact Coinepay support if you cannot complete a card-side verification request.
- Card or region checks: Kayo labels 52-019-200 as a non-payable card, 53-009-000 as a card not registered correctly, and 52-023-200 as a card that cannot be used overseas. Ask Kayo what its error means for your attempted payment and ask Coinepay support to review the card-side issue. A card payment cannot override Kayo’s Australian service-availability rules.
Manage payments or cancel after subscribing
If Kayo bills you directly, go to My Account → Subscription → Payment information → Manage payment method to update payment details. Updating a card does not immediately trigger a manual payment. Direct-billed monthly subscriptions generally renew and charge on the calendar date you signed up. To review charges, use Payment Information → View Payment History.
To cancel a direct-billed subscription, go to My Account → My Subscriptions → Manage Subscription → Cancel Subscription and complete the confirmation prompts. Access continues to the end of the billing period; an ordinary mid-period cancellation does not receive a pro-rata refund. Australian Consumer Law remedies may still apply where relevant, including for a major service failure.
If Apple bills your subscription, manage payment details and cancellation through Apple; Kayo says to cancel at least 24 hours before renewal. Optus SubHub-billed customers manage billing and cancellation in SubHub, also at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid a possible further charge. Check who bills you before looking for a payment setting in Kayo My Account.

FAQ
Will Kayo Sports accept my Coinepay virtual card?
Acceptance is not assured. Kayo’s terms require a valid Australian credit card with an Australian billing address for direct card billing, or an authorised third-party biller. Contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets the requirement before buying.
Where do I change my Kayo payment card?
For a directly billed subscription, go to My Account → Subscription → Payment information → Manage payment method. If a third party bills you, manage payment with that biller.
What does Kayo error 52-017-200 mean?
Kayo says the card number, expiry date or security code may be incorrect. Check the details against your card in the Coinepay dashboard or app and re-enter them.
Can I cancel the Kayo Premium Annual Pass to stop its monthly instalments?
Cancelling stops the next 12-month renewal, not the current commitment. Monthly instalments continue until the current 12-month term ends.
