UBL Omni is a branchless banking and mobile wallet service in Pakistan, operated by United Bank Limited and paid out in Pakistani rupees (PKR). If you have family, friends or a business partner in Pakistan who uses a UBL Omni account, you can send money to them from abroad with Coinepay's Global Remittance. This guide walks through exactly what you need from the recipient, how to choose the UBL Omni payout method, and how to confirm and track your transfer.

Before you start

To send a cross-border transfer with Coinepay you first need an account with completed identity verification (KYC). If you have not registered yet, create a Coinepay account and finish verification, then download the app for iOS or Android so you can manage and track everything on the go.

Every transfer is subject to identity verification, sanctions screening and local regulations. Coinepay may ask for additional information, such as the purpose of the transfer or the source of your funds, before a payout is released. Using your real identity and the recipient's real, registered details keeps the process smooth.

Which country and currency UBL Omni uses

UBL Omni is a Pakistan-based service, so the recipient receives funds in Pakistani rupees (PKR). Coinepay supports multiple currencies, and the exchange rate used to convert your sending currency into PKR is shown clearly in the app before you confirm, so there are no surprises on the recipient's side.

What details you need from the recipient

Mobile wallet payouts are matched on a few key pieces of information. Ask your recipient for the following and enter them carefully:

  • Registered mobile number or Omni account ID — the phone number or account number linked to their UBL Omni wallet. This is the main identifier for the payout.
  • Full name exactly as registered — the recipient's name must match the one on their UBL Omni account and their CNIC (national ID) exactly. Even a small spelling difference can cause the payout to be held or returned.
  • Country — Pakistan, so Coinepay routes the transfer to the correct payout network.

If you are unsure whether a number is the one tied to the Omni wallet, ask the recipient to confirm it inside their own UBL Omni app or with their nearest Omni agent before you send.

Step by step: send to UBL Omni

  1. Open Coinepay and start a transfer. In the app or the 24/7 dashboard, go to Global Remittance and choose to send money.
  2. Select the destination. Choose Pakistan as the destination country.
  3. Choose the payout method. Select mobile wallet, then pick UBL Omni from the list of available payout options.
  4. Enter the recipient details. Type the registered mobile number or Omni account ID and the recipient's full name exactly as it appears on their account. Double-check every digit and character.
  5. Enter the amount. Type how much you want to send, or how much you want the recipient to receive. The app will show the converted PKR amount.
  6. Review the exchange rate and fees. Before you confirm, Coinepay displays the exchange rate, any fees and the final amount the recipient will get, plus the estimated arrival time for this payout method and destination. Review these carefully.
  7. Confirm the transfer. Once you are happy with the details, confirm. If a compliance check requires more information, you may be asked to supply the purpose or source of funds at this point.
  8. Save your confirmation. Keep the transfer reference so you can track it and share it with your recipient if needed.

Tracking your transfer

Every Coinepay transfer has live status tracking. Open the transfer in the app or dashboard to see whether it is processing, under review or paid out. You will also receive status updates, and you can share the reference number with your recipient so they can match it when the money lands.

How fast does it arrive? Transfers can arrive in as little as 10 minutes, but the actual delivery time depends on the payout method and the destination country. The estimated arrival time for your specific transfer is shown in the app before you confirm.

How the recipient sees the money arrive

When the payout completes, the funds are credited to the recipient's UBL Omni wallet in PKR. They typically receive a notification or SMS from UBL Omni, and the balance appears in their UBL Omni app. From there they can usually keep it in the wallet, transfer it to a bank account, pay bills, or cash out at a UBL Omni agent, depending on what their account allows.

Wallet limits and verification levels

Branchless banking wallets in Pakistan generally come in different account tiers, and a wallet's verification level can affect how much it may hold or receive. A basic or level-one wallet usually has lower limits than a fully verified account. Because these limits are set by UBL Omni and local regulation, not by Coinepay, your recipient should confirm their current tier and available headroom in their UBL Omni app or with an Omni agent. If a payout would exceed their wallet's limit, it may be delayed or returned, so it is worth checking before you send a larger amount.

Troubleshooting

Wrong number or account ID

If you entered the wrong mobile number or Omni account ID, do not assume the money is lost. Open the transfer in Coinepay and check its status, then contact Coinepay support as soon as possible with your reference number. A payout that has not yet been collected may be correctable or returnable.

Name mismatch

If the name you entered does not match the name registered on the UBL Omni account, the payout can be held or rejected. Confirm the exact spelling with your recipient (as shown on their CNIC and wallet) and reach out to support to correct it.

Wallet limit reached

If the recipient's wallet has hit its balance or incoming limit, the funds may not be credited. Ask the recipient to free up headroom or upgrade their verification level with UBL Omni, then follow up with Coinepay support about re-attempting the payout.

Unverified or inactive wallet

An unverified, dormant or blocked UBL Omni account may not be able to receive funds. The recipient should verify or reactivate their wallet directly with UBL Omni or an Omni agent before you try again.

Compliance review

Transfers can be paused for routine sanctions screening or compliance checks. If this happens, respond promptly to any request from Coinepay for documents such as the purpose or source of funds. Providing accurate information quickly is the fastest way to release the transfer.

If anything looks off or a transfer is taking longer than the estimate shown, contact Coinepay support or reach the team on Telegram. You can also learn more about Coinepay's services on the Coinepay homepage. Keep your transfer reference handy so support can locate your payment quickly.
