Zoom Workplace is the collaboration platform that bundles Zoom's meetings, chat, phone and whiteboard tools. The platform itself isn't a single paid tier: its core licences are Zoom Workplace Basic (free), Pro, Business and Enterprise, with Pro Plus, Business Plus and higher Enterprise bundles available through sales. This guide walks through subscribing to Pro or Business with a Coinepay virtual card and how to troubleshoot a declined payment.
What you need before you start
Paying for a recurring online subscription goes more smoothly when everything is ready in advance. For Zoom Workplace you'll want:
- A Zoom account. You can begin with Sign up for free for a Basic account, or Buy now on the Zoom pricing page if you're purchasing straight away.
- Account owner or admin access. Changing a payment method or placing an order requires the account owner, an admin, or a role with billing privileges.
- A Coinepay virtual card. After you register and complete identity verification (KYC) in the Coinepay app, you can create a virtual card and see its card number, expiry date and CVV instantly. If you don't have an account yet, register with Coinepay first and install the app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Your real billing details. Use the name and billing address that match your Coinepay account. Mismatched details are a common cause of declines.
- Enough balance on the card to cover the charge plus any applicable taxes and fees, which Zoom's displayed prices generally exclude.
A note on pricing
At the time of writing (October 2026), Zoom's US-dollar list prices show Pro at $16.99/user/month billed monthly or a $14.16/user/month annual equivalent, and Business at $21.99/user/month billed monthly or an $18.33/user/month annual equivalent. The annual figures are monthly equivalents billed yearly, not monthly charges. Enterprise pricing and local-currency prices vary by region and bundle, so always confirm the current figure on Zoom's official pricing page before you buy.
Step-by-step: subscribe and check out
- Create your Coinepay card. In the Coinepay app or dashboard, open your virtual cards, create a card, and note the card number, expiry and CVV. Make sure the card has enough balance for the first charge.
- Choose your plan on Zoom. On the Zoom pricing page, select Buy now under Pro or Business. If you already own a Basic account, sign in and go to Plans and Billing → Plan Management → Upgrade to Pro; you can select Business at checkout if you need it.
- Set your license count and billing cycle. Choose how many user licences you need and whether you want the monthly or annual cycle, then add any optional add-ons.
- Review your order. Check the licence count, cycle and total, including any taxes shown.
- Enter your address and payment method. Add your billing address, then enter your Coinepay card number, expiry date and CVV. Zoom lists credit and debit cards globally and names Visa, Mastercard, Discover, JCB and American Express for credit-card payments. If you're asked which card network applies to your Coinepay card, check the card details in the Coinepay app or contact support.
- Place the order. Select Place Order. Online accounts normally use automatic recurring payment, so your card will be charged again at renewal.
- Assign the licence. After purchase, assign the licence to the user who needs it so the plan's features become active for them.
Zoom began rolling out a redesigned web experience to direct-sales and Feature Release Controls customers on 30 September 2026, with a rollout to online purchasers listed as tentatively beginning 3 November 2026. Depending on your account, billing navigation may look slightly different from the paths above — look for the Plans and Billing or Account Management area.
Where to manage billing later
Billing controls vary by account interface. Look under Plans and Billing → Billing Management / Plan Management, or under Account Management → Billing → Billing Information. To change the card on file, you must be the account owner, an admin, or hold a role with billing privileges. You can create a fresh Coinepay virtual card at any time and update the payment method before the next renewal.
If your business runs several Zoom or ad accounts, Coinepay lets you issue a dedicated virtual card per account with its own spending limit, which makes reconciling recurring software charges easier.
Troubleshooting a declined card
Zoom documents several card-decline messages. These are documented possibilities, not a diagnosis of your specific card — work through the likely cause for each.
Insufficient funds
Zoom's insufficient funds message means the balance won't cover the charge plus taxes. Top up your Coinepay card in the app and retry. Remember annual plans are billed as a single larger amount, not the monthly equivalent.
Invalid billing address or card details
Zoom lists an invalid billing address and invalid card number or card details among its decline reasons. Re-enter the card number, expiry and CVV exactly as shown in Coinepay, and make sure the billing address matches the one on your Coinepay account. Use your real details — never enter fabricated address or identity information.
Transaction type or spending-limit restriction
Zoom documents a transaction type not allowed message and amount or spending-limit restrictions. If you've set a per-card limit in Coinepay, make sure it's high enough for the charge (and for recurring renewals). Adjust the limit in the app and try again.
3-D Secure and bank authentication
Online card payments may trigger an extra verification step. Keep the Coinepay app handy to approve or confirm any authentication prompt during checkout, and complete it promptly so the transaction isn't timed out.
Unsupported billing currency
Zoom may show an unsupported billing currency message if the currency it tries to charge isn't supported on your card. Check your supported currencies in the Coinepay app or contact support before retrying.
Nonspecific bank decline, locks and page errors
Zoom also documents a generic bank decline, a lock after too many invalid attempts, temporary processing errors, and payment pages blocked by browser scripts or extensions. If you hit a generic decline, wait a moment, disable interfering extensions, and retry. Note that a PayPal balance alone is not an accepted Zoom funding source — Zoom's PayPal flow still requires a valid card, and error code 10417 relates to an unsupported selected funding source.
If a payment keeps failing after you've checked balance, details and limits, contact Coinepay support to confirm your card is configured correctly, or reach the team on Telegram.
Cancellation and refunds
For a subscription you bought directly, an eligible billing administrator can go to Plans and billing → Current Plans / Plan Management → Cancel Plan. Cancel any add-ons before the base plan. Cancelling stops the next renewal; paid access continues to the end of the current term. Cancellation does not by itself produce a refund — Zoom's terms generally make payments for the current term final and non-refundable, subject to its agreement, applicable law or your order form. Where local law grants a withdrawal or cooling-off right, Zoom's terms provide for a request under that law and, where applicable, a pro-rata refund of prepaid unused charges. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play must be cancelled through that store.
Availability
Zoom lists Cuba, Iran, North Korea and Ukraine's Crimea, Donetsk, Kherson, Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia regions as unable to access its services for regulatory reasons. Being able to open Zoom elsewhere doesn't guarantee every bundle or payment method is offered there. Coinepay services are likewise unavailable to residents of jurisdictions under comprehensive sanctions and to sanctioned persons, and some services aren't available in every jurisdiction. FAQ
Can I use a Coinepay virtual card to pay for Zoom Workplace?
You can enter a Coinepay virtual card at Zoom checkout like any other card, providing the card number, expiry and CVV. Zoom lists credit and debit cards as accepted methods. Make sure your card has enough balance, your billing address matches, and any per-card spending limit covers the charge. If you're unsure your card meets a requirement, check the Coinepay app or contact support before you buy.
Which Zoom Workplace plan should I choose?
Zoom Workplace Basic is free; Pro and Business are the common paid tiers for individuals and small teams, while Enterprise bundles are sold through Zoom Sales. At checkout you pick the licence count and the monthly or annual cycle. Compare current features and prices on Zoom's official pricing page, since prices vary by region and bundle.
Why was my card declined at Zoom checkout?
Zoom documents reasons including insufficient funds, unsupported billing currency, transaction type not allowed, invalid billing address or card details, amount or spending-limit restrictions, and generic bank declines. Check your Coinepay balance, re-enter the card details and billing address exactly, raise any per-card limit, complete any 3-D Secure prompt in the app, and retry. Contact Coinepay support if it keeps failing.
Will Zoom charge my Coinepay card automatically at renewal?
Yes. Online Zoom accounts normally use automatic recurring payment, so the card on file is charged again at the start of each new term. Keep enough balance on the card and make sure any per-card spending limit allows the renewal amount, or update the payment method before renewal under Plans and Billing.
How do I cancel Zoom Workplace and will I get a refund?
A billing administrator can cancel under Plans and billing → Current Plans / Plan Management → Cancel Plan, removing add-ons first. Cancelling stops the next renewal but access continues to the term's end and does not by itself create a refund, as Zoom's terms generally treat current-term payments as final. Store purchases must be cancelled through Apple or Google Play.
