You can try to pay for a Speechify Reader Premium subscription on Speechify’s website using a Coinepay virtual card. This guide covers what to prepare, how to review the trial and checkout terms, and what to check if payment does not go through. Card acceptance and the offer available to you are determined at checkout.
Choose the right Speechify product and purchase channel
Speechify’s text-to-speech Reader has Free and Premium tiers. Free has no time limit and does not require a card. If you want Premium, choose whether to subscribe directly on Speechify’s website or through an app marketplace before entering payment details. The purchase channel determines who bills you and where you manage or cancel the subscription.
At the time of writing (October 2026), Speechify’s US website lists Reader Premium at $29 per month when billed monthly. Speechify also offers a yearly billing option. Prices and offers can vary by region and purchase channel, so check Speechify’s official pricing page and the final checkout screen for the amount, currency, billing interval and any trial terms that apply to you.
Do not confuse Reader Premium with Speechify Studio, which has separate Free Plan, Studio Starter and Studio Creator options, or with Speechify’s separate API product. Check the product name at checkout if your goal is a Reader subscription for listening to text.
What you need before checkout
- A Speechify account: Sign up with your real details, or sign in to the account on which you want Premium.
- A Coinepay account ready for card use: Register with Coinepay and complete identity verification before using card services. You can manage your account through the 24/7 self-service dashboard or the Coinepay mobile app for iOS and Android.
- Your virtual card details: Coinepay provides a card number, expiry date and CVV instantly when a virtual card is issued. Retrieve them from your Coinepay account rather than sharing them in a message.
- Enough available funds: Check your available balance in Coinepay against the amount shown at Speechify checkout. Also consider any applicable currency conversion or additional charge displayed by your payment provider.
- Accurate billing information: Use your real name and billing details. Check that the details you enter are consistent with those associated with your payment method.
Speechify identifies credit card and PayPal as web payment options, but completing a card payment depends on the requirements applied at checkout. Do not assume a virtual card will be accepted. If you need to confirm whether your card meets a particular checkout requirement, contact Coinepay support before buying.
How to subscribe on Speechify’s website
- Open Speechify’s official website. Go to its Reader pricing page, not the separate Studio or API pricing pages. Compare Free with Premium and select the Premium offer you want to review.
- Create or access your Speechify account. Follow the prompts to sign up or sign in. Check the account email carefully so you can later find receipts and manage the correct subscription.
- Review the offer before entering payment details. Check whether you selected monthly or yearly billing, whether a trial is offered, and what you will be charged when any trial ends. A Premium trial is generally three days unless the sign-up screen states otherwise. It becomes a paid, automatically renewing subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends.
- Select the card option if it is offered. Enter the Coinepay virtual card number, expiry date and CVV from your Coinepay account. Provide your real billing details in any requested fields. Do not change your location or supply an invented address to try to pass a payment check.
- Complete any on-screen verification. If an authentication step appears, follow its instructions and return to checkout. Check the final amount, currency, renewal interval and terms before confirming the order.
- Verify the outcome. Look for confirmation in your Speechify account and email. Speechify says it emails an order confirmation after accepting a direct order. Check your Coinepay activity as well; a payment attempt alone does not establish that Premium was activated.
If you start in the iOS or Android app instead, an eligible in-app purchase uses the relevant store’s billing flow rather than Speechify’s direct website checkout. On iOS, onboarding may present a three-day Premium trial or an option to sign in to an existing account. Review the store’s displayed offer and payment method before accepting it; adding a card to Speechify’s website does not make it the payment method for a store-billed subscription.
What to check if your card is declined
A failed payment does not, by itself, identify the cause. Note the wording shown at checkout and check whether a charge appears in Coinepay before trying again. The following are useful checks, not diagnoses of a particular Speechify error:
- Insufficient available balance: Compare the balance in your Coinepay account with the checkout amount and currency. If funds are needed, use the funding options shown in your Coinepay account, then retry only after the available balance has updated. Check the app or contact support for any applicable funding requirements.
- Billing address mismatch: Recheck your name, address and other requested billing fields for typing errors. Use your genuine billing information. If the details associated with your card need correction, ask Coinepay support what to do rather than entering an unrelated address.
- Authentication or 3-D Secure: If checkout requests an additional cardholder verification step, complete the prompt while it is active. If you did not receive a prompt, it timed out, or it repeatedly fails, record what happened and contact Coinepay support. Do not assume a decline was caused by 3-D Secure unless the information you receive supports that conclusion.
- Merchant or region checks: The offer, location, billing details or payment method may be checked during checkout. Confirm you are selecting an offer available to you and that your details are accurate. If Speechify displays a specific card-type or country requirement, contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets it before you buy. Do not use a VPN or false details to work around a restriction.
If the payment still fails, send Coinepay support the approximate time, amount, currency and exact message you saw, without sending your full card number or CVV. Speechify support can help determine whether an order or subscription was created. If you see a charge but no Premium access, check that you signed in with the email used for purchase before submitting another payment.
Manage renewal, cancellation and refunds
For a direct website purchase, go to Speechify’s subscription settings in your account; its web settings path is app.speechify.com/settings?tab=subscription. Speechify says the Cancel Subscription option appears under Subscription. For an Apple purchase, manage the subscription in your Apple account settings; for a Google Play purchase, use Google Play subscriptions. Speechify also provides separate instructions for cancelling a PayPal billing agreement.
Speechify advises cancelling at least 24 hours before a trial ends to prevent a charge. Cancelling a paid subscription stops renewal, while paid benefits continue through the paid term. On iOS, Profile → Settings in the Speechify app shows the associated email and subscription status, but it is not necessarily where you change a store payment method. For a direct-web subscription, contact Speechify if you need guidance on updating its payment method.
Review Speechify’s refund policy before paying rather than assuming cancellation reverses a charge. For Reader, its policy includes a seven-day contact window for a fraudulent account takeover or a charge made in error. It also sets conditions for an annual-subscription refund, including contacting Speechify within seven days of payment and using no more than 500 HD words. The policy excludes partial refunds, requests outside its seven-day window, and monthly, quarterly or discounted subscriptions. Apple and Google purchases follow the respective stores’ refund processes.
