You can try paying for a SonyLIV subscription with a Coinepay virtual card wherever SonyLIV offers card checkout. First, choose a plan that works in your country and on your devices. Then follow SonyLIV’s checkout prompts and confirm that the subscription appears on the account you intended to use. Available plans and payment methods vary by location, and a card payment is subject to SonyLIV’s and its payment provider’s checks.

Before you start: choose the right SonyLIV plan

SonyLIV generally limits account use to the country where you registered. It does not support browsing, playback or subscription purchases through a VPN or proxy. Use your real account, location and billing details, and check the plans shown in your own checkout rather than selecting a plan intended for another market.

At the time of writing (October 2026), SonyLIV’s published India prices are ₹699 for Mobile Only (Yearly), ₹399 for LIV Premium (Monthly) and ₹1,499 for LIV Premium (Yearly). Mobile Only works in the Android and iOS phone apps, not on tablets, browsers or TVs; LIV Premium works across supported platforms. SonyLIV also lists Crunchyroll Fan at ₹99 per month in India. Its terms call this the Crunchyroll Fan Pack: it is an India-only, anime-only option and does not include LIV Premium content. LIV Premium does not include the Fan Pack’s Crunchyroll content.

For the United States, SonyLIV publishes LIV Premium Monthly Subscription Pack at $7.99 and LIV Premium Yearly Subscription Pack at $49.99 at the time of writing (October 2026). These are published prices, not a promise of your final checkout total. Check SonyLIV’s official pricing page and the amount displayed at checkout for your region, including any applicable taxes, before paying.

Get your Coinepay card and account ready

  1. Register and complete verification. Create a Coinepay account and complete identity verification (KYC) before using card services. Coinepay’s virtual card provides a card number, expiry date and CVV in its app or 24/7 self-service dashboard.
  2. Check the available funds. Review your card and funding details in the Coinepay app or dashboard. Make sure the available amount can cover the total SonyLIV displays at checkout; also consider any applicable renewal if you choose a recurring plan. For questions about funding or card settings, contact Coinepay support.
  3. Have your genuine billing details ready. Use your own name and real billing address wherever SonyLIV’s payment form requests them. Keep your phone available for SonyLIV’s one-time password (OTP) sign-up step and for any additional payment verification that appears.

SonyLIV lists cards among its payment methods, but the methods presented can differ by location and device. This guide describes a direct card checkout when one is offered; it cannot predict whether a particular card payment will be approved. If you buy through Apple, Google Play or another billing provider instead, that provider’s checkout and subscription controls apply.

How to subscribe to SonyLIV with your virtual card

  1. Open SonyLIV in your country. Use SonyLIV’s website or app and select Subscribe. If you want SonyLIV to bill the virtual card directly, look for a card-payment option in the checkout offered to you, rather than assuming an app-store purchase will use that card directly.
  2. Select a plan. Check its name, duration, supported devices, price and renewal terms. In particular, do not choose Mobile Only if you need browser or TV viewing, or Crunchyroll Fan if you want LIV Premium shows.
  3. Complete the account step. Follow SonyLIV’s prompts to verify your phone number with an OTP. If checkout offers an offer-code field and you have an eligible code, enter it there; review the updated amount before proceeding. Do not rely on a past promotion appearing at checkout.
  4. Choose the card option, if available. Enter the card number, expiry date and CVV exactly as displayed in your Coinepay app or dashboard. Supply your real billing details if requested. Check that the country and details you enter are consistent with your genuine account and payment information.
  5. Review and authorize. Confirm the checkout amount and any recurring-payment terms. Complete any additional authentication requested by the payment flow, then wait for a clear result rather than repeatedly submitting the same payment.
  6. Verify access. Sign in to the SonyLIV account used at checkout. For a SonyLIV-billed subscription, look under Account → Billing Information or Transaction History for billing details and the next renewal date, and under My Purchases for subscription management.

If your checkout shows only a payment option you cannot use, do not assume a direct card entry is available on that device or in that region. Check the payment choices in SonyLIV’s website or app for your own account, or ask SonyLIV which purchase route applies.

What to check if SonyLIV declines the card

A declined payment does not, by itself, identify the cause. Work through these checks once, then use the support contact shown by the relevant service if the problem remains:

  • Insufficient available funds: Compare your available card funds with the final amount shown by SonyLIV, not just an advertised plan price. SonyLIV identifies insufficient funds as one possible reason an automatic renewal fails. Check your Coinepay app for funding options before retrying.
  • Billing details mismatch: Recheck any name, address, expiry date and CVV you entered against your genuine details and the card information displayed by Coinepay. Correct a typo; do not enter a made-up address or another person’s details to force a payment through.
  • Additional authentication: If checkout presents a 3-D Secure or other verification step, complete it through the legitimate prompt. If it times out or you cannot finish it, check for a pending charge or subscription before attempting payment again. Ask Coinepay support about a card-side authentication issue.
  • Region or merchant checks: Confirm you are using SonyLIV in your registration country and that its checkout actually offers card payment for your plan and location. SonyLIV’s country-of-registration and VPN/proxy policies still apply when you use a virtual card. Ask SonyLIV about a merchant-side rejection; contact Coinepay support if you need help interpreting a card-side decline.
  • Renewal mandate or changed price: SonyLIV also identifies a recurring-payment mandate problem or a price increase as possible auto-renewal failure reasons. Review the subscription and renewal information in your SonyLIV account before changing or retrying payment.

If SonyLIV says “payment shows failed” but money was deducted, the transaction may still be processing. Check its status and your SonyLIV account before paying again. If payment succeeded but you still see a prompt to subscribe, first confirm that you signed in to the account used for the purchase. SonyLIV directs customers with unresolved access problems to its Subscription Issue support option.

Manage renewals or cancel later

For a subscription billed directly by SonyLIV, check Account → Billing Information or Transaction History for the next renewal date. Use My Purchases → Cancel to stop an active direct-billed recurring subscription. A one-time-payment plan expires without renewing. If you paid through Google Play, Apple or Amazon, manage cancellation with that billing provider instead.

Cancellation generally stops future renewal while access continues until the current period expires; it ordinarily does not provide a refund or credit for unused time, unless required by law. If Cancel is missing, SonyLIV says there may be no active renewal mandate—for example, because the purchase was one-time or a mandate was cancelled after a price change. Check your transaction history and billing provider before assuming another payment is due.

FAQ

Can I use a Coinepay virtual card for SonyLIV?

You can try it when SonyLIV offers card checkout for your plan and location. Payment approval depends on the checkout and payment checks; confirm the result in your SonyLIV account.

Does SonyLIV Mobile Only work on a TV or browser?

No. SonyLIV says Mobile Only works in its Android and iOS phone apps, not on tablets, browsers or TVs.

What if SonyLIV shows a failed payment after deducting money?

The transaction may still be processing. Check your payment status and SonyLIV account before paying again; contact SonyLIV through Subscription Issue if access remains missing.

Where do I cancel a SonyLIV subscription?

For a direct-billed recurring subscription, go to My Purchases → Cancel. If Google Play, Apple or Amazon billed you, cancel with that provider.
