Snyk is a developer-security platform used to find and fix vulnerabilities in code, open-source dependencies, containers and infrastructure as code. If you want to move from the Free tier to a paid plan, you can pay online with a card. This guide explains how to set up a Coinepay virtual card and use it to subscribe to Snyk, and what to check if a payment is declined.
This article is an independent how-to. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Snyk. Plan names and prices come from Snyk's own pages and can change, so always confirm the final amount on Snyk's official pricing page before you buy.
Snyk plans you can pay for
At the time of writing (October 2026), Snyk's English pricing page lists three options under the Snyk Platform Subscription:
- Free — listed at US$0/month. No card is needed to start.
- Team — advertised from US$25 per contributing developer per month. The Team sign-up page specifies a five-developer minimum and a ten-developer maximum, with a displayed US$1,375 annual starting amount. This plan can be bought by credit card without a sales call.
- Enterprise — requires a sales quote. Its published rate card values one credit at US$1, with credits bought in advance and any use beyond the prepaid balance invoiced afterward.
Snyk's terms state that subscription fees are payable in USD and exclude applicable taxes. The pages for other languages (such as German, French, Japanese and Brazilian Portuguese) still display Team's starting price in US dollars, and a final country-specific checkout total is not published. Treat all figures above as starting points and verify the current price on snyk.io/plans before paying.
If you are an Enterprise customer, a tenant admin can review the plan, renewal date, credit balance and consumption from the tenant-level Billing and Usage dashboard. Enterprise billing is arranged with Snyk's sales team rather than through self-service card checkout.
What you need before you start
To pay for Snyk Team with a Coinepay virtual card, have the following ready:
- A verified Coinepay account. You must register and complete identity verification (KYC) before you can use card services.
- A Coinepay virtual card, which gives you an instant card number, expiry date and CVV from the Coinepay app or dashboard.
- Enough balance on the card to cover the first charge plus any applicable taxes. Because Team starts at an annual amount, make sure the card can cover the full billed total, not just one month.
- Your real billing details — the name and address registered to you. Snyk and its payment processor will check these, so use accurate information, not a generated or borrowed identity.
- A sign-in method for Snyk: the Team page offers sign-up through GitHub, Google, Bitbucket, Azure AD or Docker ID.
Download the app from the App Store or Google Play to create and manage your card. Services related to virtual assets are not available to residents of mainland China, and some services are not available in every jurisdiction.
Step 1: Create your Coinepay virtual card
- Open the Coinepay app or dashboard and sign in.
- Finish identity verification if you have not already.
- Create a new virtual card. The card number, expiry date and CVV appear immediately.
- Add funds so the card can cover Snyk's billed total plus tax. Keep the card details handy for checkout.
Tip for teams and ad-account style control
If you manage several paid tools, Coinepay lets businesses issue a dedicated virtual card per purpose and set custom spending limits on each one. You can keep a single card for your Snyk subscription so the recurring charge is easy to track and reconcile.
Step 2: Start the Snyk Team sign-up
- Go to Snyk's pricing page and choose the Team plan, then select Buy now.
- This leads to Snyk's Team sign-up page. Snyk creates a Free account first, then lets you upgrade.
- Sign up or sign in with GitHub, Google, Bitbucket, Azure AD or Docker ID.
- Set the number of contributing developers within the five-to-ten range Snyk allows for self-service Team.
Step 3: Upgrade and enter your card at checkout
- In the Snyk app, open Plans & Pricing to upgrade from Free to Team. (Snyk consolidated its settings into a context-aware Settings hub in an August 2026 UI update, so exact menu labels may shift over time.)
- Review the number of seats and the displayed total before you confirm.
- Enter your Coinepay card number, expiry date and CVV, and the billing name and address exactly as they appear on your Coinepay profile.
- Complete any additional verification, such as a 3-D Secure confirmation, then submit.
- Confirm that your account shows the Team plan active and keep the receipt for your records.
Snyk's current public Team page confirms payment by credit card but does not specify accepted card networks or whether debit or prepaid cards are accepted. If you want to be sure your Coinepay card will meet any such requirement, contact Coinepay support to confirm the details of your card before you buy.
Troubleshooting: common card-declined causes
Snyk does not publish its own card-error wording, so a decline usually comes from the payment processor. Work through these common causes:
Insufficient balance
Team is billed as an annual starting amount, so a monthly-sized balance will not cover it. Check your Coinepay balance against the full total shown at checkout, add funds if needed, and try again.
Billing address mismatch
If the name and address you type do not match the details on file for your card, the processor may reject the charge. Re-enter your real billing information exactly as registered in Coinepay. Do not use a fake or borrowed address.
3-D Secure / authentication
Many card payments require an extra confirmation step. Make sure you can complete any one-time verification requested during checkout. Keep your Coinepay app open so you can approve the authentication prompt without a timeout.
Merchant region checks
Snyk prohibits accessing its services from any country or region under a comprehensive US embargo. Free and Team accounts also use Snyk's US-01 hosting region, and Snyk notes that billing data is stored globally. If checkout blocks your location or your card, confirm that Snyk is available where you are. Do not attempt to bypass regional checks with a VPN or false details — that breaks Snyk's terms.
Card details or limits
Double-check the card number, expiry and CVV. If everything looks right but the charge still fails, verify there is no per-transaction limit set on the card in Coinepay, then contact Coinepay support to confirm the card is active and suitable for this purchase.
Before you commit: cancellation and renewal
Snyk's Terms of Service (dated September 18, 2026) state that paid subscription fees are generally non-cancellable and non-refundable, and that you cannot move to a lower tier during the term. Unless a plan or order form says otherwise, a paid term defaults to one year and renews for successive one-year terms, with written non-renewal notice required at least 30 days before the term ends. Non-renewal does not refund fees. Limited refund exceptions exist (for example a pro-rata refund of prepaid, undelivered services if Snyk cannot remedy a covered performance-warranty failure), but these are not a general cancellation refund. Read the current terms on Snyk's site so you know what you are agreeing to.

FAQ
Which Snyk plan can I pay for with a card?
Snyk's self-service Team plan can be bought by credit card without a sales call. The Free plan needs no card, and Enterprise is arranged through a sales quote and credit-based billing rather than card checkout.
How much does Snyk Team cost?
At the time of writing (October 2026), Team is advertised from US$25 per contributing developer per month, with a five-developer minimum, a ten-developer maximum and a displayed US$1,375 annual starting amount. Fees are payable in USD. Always confirm the current total on snyk.io/plans before you buy.
Will my Coinepay virtual card work with Snyk?
Snyk confirms payment by credit card but does not publish which card networks or card types it accepts. Enter your real billing details at checkout, and if you want to confirm your specific card meets Snyk's requirements, contact Coinepay support before purchasing.
Why was my card declined at Snyk checkout?
Common causes are insufficient balance for the full annual total, a billing-address mismatch, an unfinished 3-D Secure step, a per-card limit, or a regional restriction. Check each, re-enter accurate details, and contact Coinepay support if the charge still fails.
Can I get a refund if I cancel Snyk?
Snyk's terms say paid subscription fees are generally non-cancellable and non-refundable, and a paid term defaults to one year with auto-renewal unless you give written non-renewal notice at least 30 days before term-end. Review Snyk's current Terms of Service for the limited exceptions.
