Snapchat+ unlocks extra features, exclusive Lenses and other perks on top of the regular Snapchat experience. If you prefer to keep subscriptions on a dedicated card, you can use a Coinepay virtual card that comes with its own card number, expiry date and CVV. This guide walks through what you need, how to subscribe on the app or the web, and what to do if a payment is declined.
What you need before you start
Getting set up is quicker if you have everything ready in advance:
- A registered Coinepay account with identity verification (KYC) completed. You can create an account and finish verification first, then manage your card from the iOS app, Android app or the 24/7 dashboard.
- A Coinepay virtual card with its full details — card number, expiry date and CVV — visible in the app.
- Enough available balance on the card to cover the plan price plus any temporary authorization. Snap says it may place a temporary authorization charge to confirm a card is active and has sufficient funds.
- The billing details associated with your card, entered exactly as they appear in your Coinepay app. Use your real identity and real billing information.
- A Snapchat account, or be ready to create one during checkout.
Which Snapchat+ plan to choose
Snap currently lists several plans, and availability varies by region. At the time of writing (October 2026) these are:
- Snapchat+ — the individual plan, offered monthly or yearly.
- Snapchat+ Family Plan — covers the purchaser and up to two additional people; it is the only listed plan that lets a purchaser add others.
- Lens+ Plan — includes Snapchat+ features plus exclusive Lenses and AI features.
- Snapchat+ Platinum Plan — includes Lens+ and removes Story and Lens ads, though some sponsored content can remain.
Prices depend on your region and the plan you pick. For example, at the time of writing (October 2026) Apple's Snapchat listing showed the individual monthly Snapchat+ plan at US$4.99 in the US, £4.99 in the UK and C$6.99 in Canada; other markets and plans differ. Because prices and plan availability change, always check the price shown before you confirm and refer to Snapchat's official pages for current details. Note that Platinum and Lens+ are being rolled out by region and cannot be bought as Snapchat+ web subscriptions — if an upgrade option is missing, that plan may not be available where you are.
Subscribe in the Snapchat app (App Store or Google Play)
If you subscribe inside the Snapchat mobile app, the payment runs through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, not Snap directly. To add a Coinepay card here, you add it as a payment method with your store account first.
- Open Snapchat and tap your Profile.
- Tap the Snapchat+ banner and choose a plan.
- Tap Subscribe and complete checkout through the App Store or Google Play.
- If prompted, add your Coinepay virtual card details to your Apple or Google account, entering the billing information exactly as it appears in Coinepay.
- Review the plan, price and renewal terms shown before you confirm, then approve the purchase.
Because the store handles billing, you later manage or cancel an app-based subscription through Apple or Google, not through Snapchat's own settings.
Subscribe on the web at snapchat.com/plus
The web flow lets you enter a card directly with Snap. Snap describes accepting credit and debit cards for web sign-up; its complete list of accepted networks and wallets is not published, so if you are unsure whether your card will work, review your card details in the Coinepay app and contact Coinepay support before you buy.
- Go to snapchat.com/plus and select Subscribe on web.
- Choose a subscription and tap Continue.
- Sign in to your Snapchat account or create one.
- Enter your Coinepay virtual card number, expiry date and CVV, along with the matching billing address.
- Accept the terms and confirm the purchase.
Snap may place a temporary authorization charge to verify the card is active and funded. For web purchases you can later sign in at snapchat.com and open Accounts → My Subscription to view bills, change or cancel the plan, and update the payment method.
If your card is declined: common causes and fixes
A decline usually comes down to a few predictable reasons. Google documents payment messages such as "Unable to process payment: low card balance," "Unable to complete transaction: expired card" and "Correct this card info or try another card," and lists insufficient funds, expired details, billing-address mismatch and issuer restrictions as possible causes. Work through the checklist below.
Insufficient balance
Make sure your Coinepay card holds enough to cover the plan price plus a possible temporary authorization. Top up in the Coinepay app and try again. Remember that currency conversion can make the charged amount slightly different from the list price.
Billing address mismatch
Enter the billing address exactly as it appears in your Coinepay app. A mismatch between what you type and what your card issuer has on file is a frequent cause of declines.
3-D Secure or extra verification
Some payments trigger an additional security step. Keep your Coinepay app and the device that receives any confirmation close at hand so you can approve the charge promptly, then retry if the first attempt timed out.
Expired or mistyped card details
Double-check the card number, expiry date and CVV against the details shown in Coinepay. Re-copy them carefully if you see a "correct this card info" message.
Merchant or region checks
Snap's paid-feature terms bar purchases in restricted countries and by sanctioned parties, and some plans are simply not offered in every region. A store checkout can also apply its own card acceptance rules. In India, for example, Google Play lists Mastercard and Visa, RuPay for one-off purchases only, and Play balance or UPI for subscriptions, with netbanking unavailable there since October 2025. If your plan or payment method is not offered locally, that is a merchant restriction you cannot work around — use your real details and only buy where the plan is available to you.
If a decline persists even though your balance and details look correct, confirm your card setup with Coinepay support and check Snapchat's or the app store's payment help for the specific error message.
Managing, renewing and cancelling
Snapchat+ renews automatically. To avoid an unexpected charge, cancel before the renewal date through the provider you bought from: on iOS through the App Store, on Android through Google Play, and for web purchases through the Snapchat accounts portal. Snap directs App Store and Play Store refund requests to Apple and Google respectively. For US web subscriptions, cancelling stops renewal but keeps access through the paid period, and Snap says it does not refund the unused portion. Consumers in the EU, Norway and the UK may have a 14-day cancellation right with a prorated refund — Snap states EU and UK web cancellations within the first 14 days remove access and yield a prorated refund in 7–10 business days.
Keep an eye on your Coinepay card balance before each renewal so the subscription does not lapse. You can review transactions anytime from the Coinepay dashboard or app.
A quick recap
Decide whether to subscribe in-app (billed by Apple or Google) or on the web (billed by Snap), ready your verified Coinepay virtual card with enough balance and matching billing details, and confirm the price and renewal terms before you approve. If a payment is declined, check balance, address, verification prompts and card details first, and reach out to Coinepay support if you need help confirming your card.

FAQ
Can I use a Coinepay virtual card for Snapchat+?
You can enter a Coinepay virtual card at Snapchat's web checkout or add it to your Apple or Google account for in-app purchases. Snap accepts credit and debit cards on the web but does not publish a full list of accepted networks, so if you are unsure, review your card details in the Coinepay app and contact Coinepay support before buying.
Why was my Snapchat+ payment declined?
Common causes are insufficient balance, a billing address that doesn't match your card, an expired or mistyped card number, a pending 3-D Secure step, or a merchant/region restriction. Check each item, top up or correct the details in your Coinepay app, and try again.
How much does Snapchat+ cost?
Prices vary by region and plan. At the time of writing (October 2026) Apple's listing showed individual monthly Snapchat+ at US$4.99 (US), £4.99 (UK) and C$6.99 (Canada). Always check the price shown before you confirm and refer to Snapchat's official pages for current pricing.
How do I cancel Snapchat+ so I'm not charged again?
Cancel before the renewal date through the provider you bought from: the App Store on iOS, Google Play on Android, or the Snapchat accounts portal for web purchases. Cancelling usually keeps access until the paid period ends.
Will Snapchat charge my card to verify it?
Snap says it may place a temporary authorization charge to confirm the card is active and has enough funds. Keep enough balance on your Coinepay card to cover both the plan price and this temporary check.
