LinkedIn Premium bundles InMail, who-viewed-you insights, LinkedIn Learning courses and sales or hiring tools into a recurring subscription. If you want to keep this spend separate from your main account, a Coinepay virtual card gives you an instant card number, expiry date and CVV to use at LinkedIn's checkout. This guide walks through what you need, how to subscribe, and how to troubleshoot a declined card.
Before you start
You will need two things in place:
- A verified Coinepay account. Register at Coinepay, complete identity verification (KYC) and create a virtual card from the dashboard or the iOS app or Android app. Keep the card number, expiry and CVV ready, and make sure the card has enough balance to cover the full billing cycle plus any local taxes.
- A LinkedIn account. Decide which plan you want before you reach checkout, because the billing currency of an active subscription cannot be changed later without cancelling and buying again.
One important note on recurring billing: LinkedIn accepts credit, debit and prepaid cards on American Express, Discover, Mastercard, Visa, RuPay and JCB (and Diners Club when billed in USD), but it states that some prepaid cards cannot support recurring charges. Because a subscription renews automatically, your card needs to accept recurring payments. If you are unsure whether your Coinepay card meets this requirement, contact Coinepay support to confirm before you buy.
Which LinkedIn Premium plan?
LinkedIn lists several Premium subscriptions: Premium Career, Premium Business, Premium All-in-One (formerly Premium Business Suite, still a selective rollout), Sales Navigator (Core, Advanced and Advanced Plus), Recruiter Lite, Premium Company Page and LinkedIn Learning access. For reference, LinkedIn's published starting estimates at the time of writing (October 2026) include:
| Plan | Monthly (USD) | Yearly (USD) |
|---|---|---|
| Premium Career | $39.99 | $239.88 |
| Premium Business | $69.99 | $539.88 |
| Premium All-in-One | $89.99 | $899.88 |
| Sales Navigator Core | $119.99 | $1,079.88 |
| Recruiter Lite (1 licence) | $170 | $1,680 |
These are published estimates, not a signed-in quote. Taxes, promotions, device type, eligibility and your region can all change the amount you actually see. Sales Navigator Advanced Plus is a custom sales-team quote rather than a fixed price, and local pricing for several plans only appears once you sign in. Always confirm the final figure on LinkedIn's own plan page and at checkout before you confirm.
Step-by-step: subscribe with your Coinepay card
- Open the plan page. From LinkedIn, go to the Premium plans page or select the upgrade prompt for the plan you want. Using a desktop browser is the most reliable path, since some flows (such as the Company Page bundle) are desktop-only and LinkedIn says payment information cannot be updated in its mobile app.
- Choose billing cycle. Select monthly or annual. If you are buying a Premium Company Page bundle, you first choose an individual plan, then the bundle, then the billing cycle.
- Enter payment details. At the payment step, choose the card option from the dropdown and enter your Coinepay virtual card number, expiry date and CVV.
- Enter billing information carefully. Type the billing address and postal/ZIP code exactly as they appear on your Coinepay account. A mismatched billing ZIP is one of LinkedIn's listed decline reasons.
- Complete any verification. Your card issuer may trigger a 3-D Secure or one-time-passcode check, or a small temporary authorisation to validate the card. Approve it in the Coinepay app if prompted.
- Confirm checkout. Review the total and confirm. If you took a free trial, remember it converts automatically to a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends.
Adding a card in the Admin Center does not by itself apply it to an existing subscription. To add a card for later, use Admin Center → Payment methods → Add payment method; to switch the card on an active subscription, use Admin Center → Purchases → active subscription → Change payment method. Note that Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal can be used for new purchases but cannot replace an existing method through the switching list.
Where to manage billing later
To find your subscription and billing details, go to Me → Premium features → Manage your subscription. LinkedIn redirects you to the LinkedIn Admin Center, where Purchases shows your active subscription and its billing information. Keep in mind an active subscription's billing currency cannot be changed; switching currency means cancelling and making a new purchase after the current cycle ends.
Troubleshooting a declined card
LinkedIn's documented decline reasons are insufficient funds, an invalid or expired method, an issuer-blocked charge, a mismatched billing ZIP code, recurring charges disallowed, and (in India) payment-regulation failures. Work through these in order:
Insufficient balance
Confirm your Coinepay card holds enough to cover the full plan price plus any local tax shown at checkout. Annual plans charge the whole year up front, so the amount can be much larger than the monthly figure. Top up in the Coinepay app and retry.
Billing address or ZIP mismatch
Re-enter your billing address and postal code exactly as registered with Coinepay. Even a small difference in the ZIP/postal code can cause a decline.
3-D Secure or authorisation not completed
If an authorisation shows as "Failed" or "Cancelled" when you add a card, that can simply be LinkedIn voiding its verification hold — it does not by itself mean future charges will fail. Make sure you approve any 3-D Secure prompt in the Coinepay app promptly, then try the purchase again.
Recurring charges disallowed
Subscriptions renew automatically, so the card must accept recurring billing. LinkedIn notes some prepaid cards cannot support this. If you see this decline, contact Coinepay support to confirm your card can handle recurring payments before trying again.
Merchant region and availability checks
LinkedIn does not sell paid products to parties covered by its prohibited-countries and sanctions policy, and some plans have limited availability — Premium All-in-One is a selective rollout, Premium Company Page requires an eligible Page super admin, and Recruiter Lite is not currently available to members in China. In India, recurring card payments require an RBI-compliant e-mandate and bank verification, and LinkedIn lists UPI as an online option there. Use your real identity and billing details that match your location; do not attempt to work around a regional check.
Some members have reported a generic "something went wrong" message when editing a card, but that is an individual report rather than a confirmed LinkedIn-wide error. If a payment keeps failing after the checks above, contact LinkedIn support about the charge and Coinepay support about the card.
Cancelling and refunds
To cancel a direct LinkedIn purchase, go to Admin Center → Purchases → active subscription → Cancel subscription → Confirm, and do it at least one day before the next billing date to avoid another cycle. A paid plan keeps running to the end of the current cycle, while cancelling a free trial ends access immediately. LinkedIn says Premium charges may be refundable if requested within seven days of the charge with no Premium usage; EU citizens have a 14-day full-refund period beginning when service starts, including the first day of a free trial. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are cancelled and refunded through those stores instead.
Keep your records straight
Every Coinepay transaction is visible in your 24/7 dashboard and mobile app, so you can match LinkedIn charges to your statement and set a reminder before each renewal. If you need help with your card, reach the team via Coinepay support or Telegram.

FAQ
Can I use a Coinepay virtual card for LinkedIn Premium?
You can enter a Coinepay virtual card at LinkedIn's checkout like any card. Because the subscription renews automatically, your card must support recurring charges — LinkedIn notes some prepaid cards cannot. Contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets this requirement before you buy.
Why was my card declined at LinkedIn checkout?
LinkedIn lists insufficient funds, an invalid or expired card, an issuer-blocked charge, a mismatched billing ZIP, recurring charges disallowed, and India payment-regulation failures. Check your balance, re-enter the billing address exactly, complete any 3-D Secure prompt, and retry.
How much does LinkedIn Premium cost?
Published starting estimates at the time of writing (October 2026) include Premium Career at USD $39.99/month and Premium Business at USD $69.99/month, but taxes, promotions, region and eligibility change the final amount. Check LinkedIn's official plan page for your signed-in price.
Can I change the card on an active LinkedIn subscription?
Yes. On desktop, go to Admin Center → Purchases → active subscription → Change payment method. LinkedIn says payment information cannot be updated in its mobile app, and simply adding a card does not apply it to an existing subscription.
How do I cancel LinkedIn Premium and get a refund?
For a direct purchase, use Admin Center → Purchases → active subscription → Cancel subscription → Confirm, at least one day before the next billing date. LinkedIn may refund charges requested within seven days with no Premium usage; EU citizens have a 14-day refund period. App Store and Google Play purchases are handled by those stores.
