To pay for an Ideogram web subscription with a Coinepay virtual card, first set up your card, then choose a plan on Ideogram’s pricing page and enter your real billing details at checkout. This guide covers the web subscription flow, what to check before paying, and what to do if a payment is declined.

Before you start

  • Set up Coinepay. Register for Coinepay and complete identity verification (KYC) before using card services. Coinepay provides your virtual card number, expiry date and CVV in its app and self-service dashboard.
  • Have enough available funds. Allow for the plan’s full charge and any applicable tax. Ideogram’s displayed web prices exclude tax; checkout calculates applicable tax using your billing address.
  • Use your real details. Have your correct name and billing address ready. Do not substitute an address from another country to try to pass a payment check.
  • Decide where you are buying. The steps below concern Ideogram’s web checkout. Purchases through the iPhone app follow Apple’s in-app purchase flow and can have different prices.

Card issuance and fund services are provided by Coinepay’s licensed partner financial institutions. Check the Coinepay app or contact Coinepay support if you need to confirm a card or funding detail before checkout. A virtual card does not override Ideogram’s payment, identity or regional checks.

Choose the right Ideogram purchase

Ideogram’s web pricing page lists Plus, Pro, Team and Enterprise. It also lists Pay as you go credit purchases, which are distinct from a recurring subscription. Plus or Pro may suit an individual account; review Team’s per-user billing if you are purchasing for a group. Enterprise presents contact-sales and self-serve prepaid-credit options rather than one published fixed price.

At the time of writing (October 2026), Ideogram listed Plus at US$20 monthly or US$180 billed annually, Pro at US$60 monthly or US$504 billed annually, and Team at US$30 per user monthly or US$240 per user billed annually. The corresponding listed monthly priority-credit amounts were 2,400 for Plus, 7,500 for Pro and 3,600 per user for Team. Pay as you go was listed at US$0.01 per credit. These are web-page figures, not a promise of your checkout total: check Ideogram’s official pricing page and the amount shown before paying, including tax.

Ideogram’s pricing information also says eligible accounts may receive weekly credits when signing in with Google, Apple or Microsoft; it does not specify one fixed free-credit allowance for every account. If you are still comparing plans, you can sign in and review what is available to your account before subscribing.

How to pay for Ideogram on the web

  1. Prepare your card. Sign in to the Coinepay app or 24/7 dashboard, locate your virtual card details and check that you have sufficient available funds for the purchase you intend to make. Do not share your card number or CVV with anyone offering to complete checkout for you.
  2. Open Ideogram’s official pricing page. Select monthly or annual billing and compare the listed plans. Pay particular attention to whether an annual selection charges the annual amount upfront rather than a monthly installment.
  3. Sign in or create an Ideogram account. Follow the pricing page’s sign-up or plan button. Ideogram permits account creation or supported linked-account sign-in. Complete any account steps Ideogram presents before continuing to payment.
  4. Review the checkout summary. Verify the chosen plan, billing frequency, amount due and any tax. If you are buying for a tax-exempt organization, Ideogram’s checkout offers an “I’m purchasing as a business” selection for entering the relevant details. Use it only when it accurately describes your purchase.
  5. Enter your Coinepay virtual card details. Supply the card number, expiry date and CVV where the web checkout requests payment information. Enter your real billing name and address accurately. Ideogram says Stripe processes its payments; follow the instructions displayed by the checkout if an additional verification step appears.
  6. Confirm only after a final review. Check the total and renewal terms, then submit the payment once. Wait for the checkout result rather than repeatedly pressing the button. If it succeeds, check your Ideogram account’s billing information and retain the receipt.

Ideogram says its described web checkout accepts credit or debit cards through Stripe, while PayPal and other digital wallets are not offered there. That does not establish whether a particular virtual card will be accepted. If checkout states a card-type or issuing-country requirement, contact Coinepay support to confirm whether your card meets it before trying to buy; follow any restrictions Ideogram displays.

API billing is a separate setup

A web subscription is not the same as adding a payment method for Ideogram API usage. If you are paying for the API, open the Ideogram API dashboard and use Billing → Add payment method; that flow uses Stripe. The API dashboard’s Billing area also shows invoices and credits, while Manage via Stripe is used to update payment and tax details. Check which product you are paying for before entering your card, especially if you use both the image-generation website and the API.

If Ideogram says “your card has been declined”

A declined-payment message does not, by itself, identify the cause. One Ideogram user publicly reported seeing “your card has been declined,” but that report did not establish a specific decline code. Work through the checks below without repeatedly submitting an unchanged payment.

Insufficient balance or an incorrect card entry

Compare your available funds with the full checkout total, not just the plan price on the pricing page. Remember that applicable tax is added at checkout and that annual billing can mean a larger upfront charge. Then recheck the card number, expiry date and CVV against the details in Coinepay. An expired card or mistyped detail can prevent authorization. If you need information about your available balance or card status, check the Coinepay app or contact support.

Billing address mismatch

Confirm that the name and billing address you entered are your real, current details and that there are no spelling or postal-code errors. Ideogram uses the billing address to calculate applicable tax, so review the checkout summary again after correcting it. Do not try another country’s address to bypass a tax, card or regional check.

Authentication or 3-D Secure step

If checkout requests additional cardholder authentication, complete the prompt through the legitimate payment flow. If it times out, fails or never appears, check whether your browser blocked a pop-up or redirected page, then try a fresh checkout session. Do not approve a verification request that you did not initiate. If the issue persists, contact Coinepay support with the time of the attempt and the error shown, without sending your full card number or CVV.

Merchant or processor region checks

A merchant or payment processor may reject a transaction because of its own geographic or card-acceptance rules. Check the message shown by Ideogram and make sure your account, location and billing information are accurate. Do not use a VPN, borrowed identity or different address to evade a restriction. If Ideogram presents a specific card-type or country requirement, ask Coinepay support whether your card meets it and contact Ideogram through its own support channel if you need clarification of the merchant’s rule.

When you ask for help, share the plan you selected, whether you chose monthly or annual billing, the attempted amount, the time and the exact error text. Keep the card number and CVV private. An issuer or processor can also decline a transaction for a reason not visible in a general checkout message.

Manage renewal, receipts or cancellation

On Ideogram, use Manage Billing at the top right to change a payment method, download receipts, check the renewal date or cancel. Subscriptions renew automatically. Ideogram’s terms instruct customers to use Cancel Subscription at least five days before renewal to avoid a future charge, so do not leave cancellation until the renewal day.

Ideogram says subscription payments are generally non-refundable and it does not ordinarily credit a partially used period. After cancellation, paid access continues through the period already paid for, subject to Ideogram’s terms and applicable consumer rights. Review your renewal date and the current terms in your account if you are deciding whether to continue.

FAQ

Can I pay for Ideogram Plus or Pro with a Coinepay virtual card?

You can enter your Coinepay virtual card details at Ideogram’s web card checkout, but a particular payment is subject to the merchant’s and processor’s checks. Confirm any card-type or country requirement with Coinepay support before buying.

Why is my Ideogram checkout total higher than the listed plan price?

Ideogram’s displayed web prices exclude applicable tax, which is calculated at checkout using your billing address. Also check whether you selected annual rather than monthly billing.

Where do I update my Ideogram subscription payment method?

Use Manage Billing at the top right of Ideogram. For API billing, use the API dashboard’s Billing area and Manage via Stripe.

How early should I cancel an Ideogram subscription to avoid renewal?

Ideogram’s terms instruct you to use Cancel Subscription at least five days before the renewal date. Check that date in Manage Billing.
