Google Sheets is free to use with a personal Google account, but many people pay for it indirectly — through a Google Workspace subscription for a custom domain and business features, or a Google One plan for extra Drive storage that Sheets files count against. If you plan to pay for one of these, you can add a Coinepay virtual card as your payment method. This guide walks through what you need, how the checkout works, and what to do if your card is declined.
Before you start: what you need
Make sure you have the following ready so the sign-up goes smoothly:
- A Coinepay account with identity verification (KYC) complete. You must register and verify before you can issue or use a card. If you have not done this yet, create your Coinepay account and finish verification first.
- A Coinepay virtual card created in the app, with its card number, expiry date and CVV. You can create one from the Coinepay dashboard or the mobile app (iOS / Android).
- Enough balance on the card to cover the plan plus any applicable taxes.
- Your real billing details — name and billing address exactly as they appear on your Coinepay account. Use your genuine identity and address; do not use fake details.
- A Google account you want to attach the subscription to.
Google does not publish which card types every product accepts in every country, and acceptance can vary. If you are unsure whether your card will work for your region, contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets the requirement before you buy.
Step 1: Decide which Google product you are paying for
"Paying for Google Sheets" usually means one of two things:
- Google Workspace — a paid business/organization subscription that includes Sheets, Docs, Slides, Gmail on your own domain, and admin controls. Billed per user, monthly or annually.
- Google One — a consumer storage upgrade. Sheets itself stays free, but a One plan gives you more storage for your Drive files.
Plan names and prices vary by region and currency, so check the official Google Workspace or Google One pricing pages inside your Google account for the current options. Do not rely on a price you saw elsewhere.
Step 2: Create or open your Coinepay virtual card
- Sign in to the Coinepay app or dashboard.
- Open the Cards section and create a virtual card (or select an existing one).
- Note the full card number, expiry date and CVV, and make sure the card has enough balance.
- Check that the billing name and address on file match what you will enter at Google checkout.
Step 3: Start the Google subscription
For Google Workspace:
- Go to the Google Workspace website and choose Get started.
- Enter your business name, number of users and region.
- Connect a domain you own, or buy one through the sign-up flow.
- Create your admin username and continue to the payment step.
For Google One:
- Open one.google.com or the Google One app while signed in to your Google account.
- Pick the storage plan and billing cycle you want.
- Continue to the payment screen.
Step 4: Enter your Coinepay card at checkout
- On the payment page, choose to add a credit or debit card.
- Type the Coinepay card number, expiry date and CVV.
- Enter the cardholder name and billing address exactly as they appear on your Coinepay account. A mismatch here is one of the most common reasons a card is declined.
- If a 3-D Secure verification prompt appears, approve it using the method shown in your Coinepay app.
- Review the total, including taxes, and confirm.
After the first charge succeeds, Google stores the card for recurring billing. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each cycle, so keep enough balance on the card before each renewal date.
Step 5: Confirm the subscription is active
For Workspace, open the Admin console (admin.google.com) and check Billing to see your plan and next payment date. For Google One, open the app or one.google.com and view your membership. You can open Google Sheets at sheets.google.com and start working right away.
Troubleshooting: card declined
If Google rejects the payment, work through these common causes before trying again.
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| "Your card was declined" / "transaction could not be completed" | Not enough balance | Check your Coinepay balance and top up to cover the plan plus taxes, then retry. |
| "Card details are incorrect" or repeated instant failure | Billing address or name mismatch | Re-enter the name and billing address exactly as on your Coinepay account. |
| Payment page reloads or verification never completes | 3-D Secure not approved | Approve the authentication prompt in your Coinepay app; make sure notifications are enabled. |
| "This payment method isn't supported in your country" | Merchant region check | Confirm your Google account country matches your card; contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets the requirement. |
| Typing or expiry errors | Wrong number, expiry or CVV | Carefully re-copy the card details from the Coinepay app. |
Insufficient balance
Google charges the full plan amount plus any local tax at checkout, and again at each renewal. If the balance is short by even a small amount, the charge fails. Top up and retry.
Billing address mismatch
Google compares the billing address you enter against what the card issuer has on record. Use the exact address linked to your Coinepay account, with the correct country and postal code.
3-D Secure authentication
Many Google payments trigger an extra verification step. If you dismiss it or miss the prompt, the payment is declined. Open your Coinepay app, approve the request, and complete checkout within the time shown.
Merchant and region checks
Some products or plans are offered only in certain countries, and a card issued for one region may not be accepted for a plan billed in another. Make sure your Google account country and your intended plan match. Some Coinepay services are also limited by jurisdiction. If a payment keeps failing after the fixes above, reach out through Coinepay support or our Telegram channel and we can help you check the card.
Managing and canceling
You can update or remove the card anytime from Google's billing settings — the Admin console for Workspace, or the Google One membership page. To avoid an unwanted renewal, cancel before the next billing date; access usually continues until the end of the paid period. For full plan rules, refer to Google's own billing help.

FAQ
Is Google Sheets free, or do I have to pay?
Google Sheets is free with a personal Google account. You only pay when you subscribe to Google Workspace (business features and a custom domain) or buy a Google One storage plan, both of which can be charged to a Coinepay virtual card.
Will my Coinepay virtual card be accepted by Google?
Acceptance can depend on your region and the plan you choose, and Google does not publish every rule. Make sure your billing details match and, if you are unsure, contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets the requirement before you buy.
Why was my card declined at Google checkout?
The most common causes are insufficient balance, a billing address or name that does not match your Coinepay account, an unapproved 3-D Secure prompt, or a region mismatch between your Google account and card. Fix these and retry.
How do I handle automatic renewals?
Google stores the card and charges it each billing cycle. Keep enough balance on the Coinepay card before each renewal date, and cancel in Google's billing settings if you no longer want the plan.
Do I need to verify my identity with Coinepay first?
Yes. You must register and complete KYC identity verification before you can create or use a Coinepay virtual card. Use your real identity and billing details.
