Google One turns the free 15 GB that comes with a personal Google Account into a larger, paid storage and benefits plan, with AI tiers layered on top. If you want to pay with a Coinepay virtual card, this guide walks through what to prepare, how to subscribe on desktop and Android, and how to troubleshoot the most common card declines. Coinepay issues virtual cards with an instant card number, expiry date and CVV, which you can use for subscriptions like this one.
Before you start
A few things make checkout smoother:
- A personal Google Account. Google One availability follows your Google Play country or region, and it requires a personal account — Workspace (business) accounts are not eligible, and plan and AI-benefit availability can differ by location.
- A verified Coinepay account. You must register and complete identity verification (KYC) before using card services. You can create your Coinepay account and finish verification first.
- Your real billing details. Use your real name and billing address. Google checks the billing address against your card, so entering accurate information helps avoid declines.
- Enough balance on the card. Make sure the card has funds to cover the plan plus any renewals. Top up in the Coinepay app or dashboard.
Coinepay does not control whether any particular merchant accepts a given card. For US Google Play billing, Google lists credit/debit American Express, Discover, JCB, Mastercard and Visa as accepted, and says acceptance of a particular card or method can vary. If you are unsure your Coinepay card meets a requirement, contact Coinepay support to confirm before you buy.
Choose your Google One plan
Google's plan comparison lists tiers including Basic (100 GB), Standard (200 GB), Google AI Plus, Google AI Pro, and the Google AI Ultra tiers (5x and 20x); options vary by location and account. A separate, region-limited Google One Lite gives 30 GB for one person without family sharing. Remember that paid-plan storage figures are the total storage for the account, not an amount added on top of the free 15 GB.
At the time of writing (October 2026), Google's US pricing page showed Basic 100 GB at $1.99/month, Google AI Plus 2 TB at $9.99/month, Google AI Pro 5 TB at $19.99/month, and AI Ultra 5x at $99.99/month, with the higher Ultra 20x tier announced at $200/month. Prices vary by region and change over time, and local-currency checkout prices in markets such as the UK, the euro area, India, Canada and Australia are not all published in one place. Always review the exact price and payment date on the official Google One pricing page (one.google.com/about/plans) before you subscribe.
Subscribe on a computer
- Sign in with your personal Google Account and open one.google.com.
- Choose Upgrade, then select the plan you want.
- Review the price and the payment date shown on screen so there are no surprises at renewal.
- Select a payment method. To add your Coinepay card, enter the card number, expiry date and CVV exactly as shown in your Coinepay app, and enter your real billing address.

Subscribe in the Google One app on Android
- Open the Google One app signed in to your personal account.
- Tap Upgrade, pick a plan, then review the price and payment date.
- Tap Continue, choose or add your payment method, then tap Subscribe.
Note: if you subscribe through the App Store on an Apple device instead, the purchase is confirmed and managed through Apple, not through Google's own billing.
Update or change the card on an existing plan
For a Google-billed subscription, you can change the card at Google One → Settings → Change payment method → Google Play → My subscriptions → Google One: Manage → Primary payment method: Update. You can also edit card details and billing address at payments.google.com. Google lists supported methods including credit card, US bank account, PayPal and Google Play balance in selected regions, depending on where and how your plan is billed. If your plan is billed by a carrier or other partner, you generally have to change or cancel it with that provider rather than inside Google One.
Troubleshooting card declines
Google's payment help shows error messages such as "Unable to process payment: low card balance," "Unable to complete transaction: expired card," "Correct this card info or try another card," and "Your transaction cannot be completed." Community posts have also mentioned issuer-decline notices like "Your card issuer declined your payment" with a reference code such as OR-PFGVEM-25 — those are user reports, not a confirmed diagnosis of any one failure. Here is how to work through the usual causes.
Insufficient balance
A "low card balance" message means the charge exceeds available funds. Check your balance in the Coinepay app and top up to cover the plan price plus a little margin for currency conversion, then retry.
Billing address mismatch
Google checks that the billing address matches what the card issuer has on file. Make sure the address you enter at checkout and at payments.google.com matches your real Coinepay billing details exactly. A "Correct this card info or try another card" message often points to a typo in the card number, expiry, CVV or address.
3-D Secure / verification step
Some payments trigger an extra authentication step. Keep your Coinepay app handy during checkout so you can approve or confirm the transaction if prompted. If you miss the prompt, the payment may show as declined — start the purchase again.
Expired or incorrect card details
An "expired card" error means the card's validity date has passed. Open the card in Coinepay to confirm the current number, expiry and CVV, update the details, and retry.
Merchant region checks
Google One follows your account's Google Play country or region. If your Google account region and your billing details are inconsistent, checkout can fail. Use your real country and details rather than trying to work around a regional restriction. If a transaction still won't go through after you've checked funds, details and address, contact Coinepay support to confirm the payment reached the card and was not blocked on the Coinepay side, and check whether Google is showing an account alert.
If a renewal fails
Plans renew automatically unless cancelled. Google describes a seven-day grace period to update your payment information if a renewal fails, so if you see a failed-payment notice, update or replace the card promptly to keep your storage active.
Cancelling and refunds
To stop future charges on a Google-billed plan, go to Google One → Settings → Cancel membership. Cancellation ends future payments, while your paid storage and benefits normally remain through the current billing cycle. Storage purchases are non-refundable in most countries or regions; Play purchases follow Google Play's refund policy and App Store purchases follow Apple's. Review how your plan is billed before you cancel.
Manage everything from Coinepay
You can manage your Coinepay card, check your balance and top up anytime from the 24/7 self-service dashboard or the Coinepay mobile app on iOS and Google Play. New to Coinepay? FAQ
Which Google One plan should I pick?
Pick based on how much total storage and which AI benefits you need. Google lists tiers such as Basic (100 GB), Standard (200 GB), Google AI Plus, Google AI Pro and Google AI Ultra, plus a region-limited Lite 30 GB plan. Options vary by location, so review the exact plan, price and payment date on Google's official pricing page before subscribing.
Why was my Coinepay card declined at Google One checkout?
Common causes are insufficient balance, a billing address that doesn't match your card, an expired or mistyped card number, or a missed verification step. Check funds and details in the Coinepay app, enter your real billing address, and retry. If it still fails, contact Coinepay support to confirm the payment wasn't blocked on the card side.
Can I change the card on an existing Google One subscription?
Yes, for a Google-billed plan go to Google One → Settings → Change payment method → Google Play → My subscriptions → Google One: Manage → Primary payment method: Update, or edit details at payments.google.com. If a carrier or other partner bills your plan, you must change it with that provider.
Is Google One available in my country with a Coinepay card?
Google One availability follows your account's Google Play country or region and requires a personal (not Workspace) account. Coinepay services are also not available in every jurisdiction. Use your real identity and billing details, and contact Coinepay support if you want to confirm your card is suitable before buying.
Can I get a refund if I cancel Google One?
Storage purchases are non-refundable in most countries or regions. Cancelling at Google One → Settings → Cancel membership stops future payments while your storage usually stays active through the current billing cycle. Play purchases follow Google Play's refund policy and App Store purchases follow Apple's.
