DataCamp Premium unlocks the full library of data and AI courses, projects and practice. If you prefer to keep your subscription spending on a single, controllable card, a Coinepay virtual card gives you an instant card number, expiry date and CVV to use at the DataCamp checkout. This guide walks through what you need, how to subscribe, and what to do if a payment is declined.
Before you start
To pay for DataCamp Premium with a Coinepay card, make sure you have the following ready:
- A verified Coinepay account. Register and complete identity verification (KYC) first. You can sign up at the Coinepay registration page and manage everything from the dashboard or the mobile app for iOS and Android.
- An active Coinepay virtual card with enough balance to cover the plan you choose, including any tax shown at checkout.
- Your real billing details. DataCamp checks the billing address and postal code against the card, so use the exact name and address linked to your Coinepay account.
- A DataCamp account. You can create a free Basic account first, then upgrade.
DataCamp states it cannot provide services or process payments in a list of locations that includes Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Russia, Belarus and Venezuela. If you are in one of these places, the purchase will not go through. Use only your real location and details.
Understand the plans and pricing
DataCamp Learn offers Basic (free), Premium (individual), Teams (two or more users) and Enterprise (contact sales). There is also a discounted Premium Student Plan for eligible students, which requires student verification.
Premium is sold with a monthly or an annual billing period. At the time of writing (October 2026), DataCamp's US pricing page showed Premium at $35/month on the monthly selection, and an annual option displayed as a $14/month equivalent billed annually (that figure is a monthly equivalent, not a $14 monthly charge). A separate limited-time sale running October 5–31, 2026 advertised 50% off an annual Premium purchase, listing $165/year against $330/year. Student pricing showed $24/month or $164/year subject to verification.
Prices, taxes and renewal rates vary by region and change over time, and the exact total and the renewal amount are only confirmed at checkout. Always read the final charge on the DataCamp checkout screen before you confirm. Check the official DataCamp pricing page for current figures in your market.
Annual plans are charged once upfront for the full 12 months; DataCamp says it does not offer installments for annual subscriptions. Monthly plans are charged month to month.
Step-by-step: subscribe and pay
- Create or log in to your DataCamp account. Sign up with an email and password, or use Google, LinkedIn or Facebook, then log in.
- Open the pricing page and choose Premium. Select the billing period you want — monthly or yearly. If you qualify for the student plan, use the dedicated student pricing page and be ready for verification.
- Select Subscribe Now. This takes you to DataCamp's checkout (the annual option leads to a purchase page on purchase.datacamp.com). Confirm the plan, billing period and total shown.
- Create your Coinepay virtual card. In the Coinepay app or dashboard, issue a card (or open an existing one) and copy the card number, expiry date and CVV. Make sure the available balance covers the total DataCamp displays.
- Enter the card and billing details. Type the card number, expiry and CVV, then enter the billing name, address and postal code that match your Coinepay registration. DataCamp also supports PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay for individual Premium, but for a card payment you fill in these fields directly.
- Complete any verification. If a 3-D Secure or one-time passcode step appears, approve it in your Coinepay app or follow the prompt.
- Confirm and save your receipt. After payment, you can see your renewal date and price, update the payment method or download invoices under profile image → Account Settings → Subscription. For Teams, the organization's payment method lives separately under Organization → Settings → Billing.
Troubleshooting a declined payment
DataCamp lists several reasons a card can be declined, including bank security blocks, international or recurring-payment restrictions, currency restrictions, insufficient funds, card limits, incorrect billing details and checkout network problems. Work through these checks:
Insufficient balance or card limit
Because annual Premium is billed in one upfront charge, the full amount must be available at once. In the Coinepay app, confirm your card balance covers the total plus any tax, then top up or switch to the monthly plan if needed.
Billing address or postal code mismatch
Enter the name, address and postal code exactly as they appear on your Coinepay account. If your address genuinely has no postal code, DataCamp's help guidance is to enter 00000 in the ZIP/postal code field.
3-D Secure or bank verification
If the payment needs extra authentication, approve the prompt in your Coinepay app. A missed or timed-out verification can cause a decline, so keep the app open while you check out.
Merchant region and currency checks
DataCamp charges many web purchases in USD, though as of a May 26, 2026 change it says new customers in India and Brazil can purchase in INR and BRL while earlier purchases and renewals stay in USD. If you see a currency restriction, review your location and account details. For subscribers in India, DataCamp describes card e-mandate and verification requirements and says methods such as UPI and Google Pay are unavailable there; card checkout may involve extra verification steps.
Card-type flags
DataCamp names Visa and Mastercard among accepted cards and notes that corporate/travel, HSA/FSA, virtual/one-time and some prepaid or reloadable cards can be flagged as potential problems. This is not a statement that every such card is always rejected. If you want to confirm your Coinepay card meets DataCamp's requirements before you buy, contact Coinepay support or reach the team on Telegram.
Generic errors
If you see a message like "Something went wrong," refresh, re-enter the details carefully, and try again on a stable connection. If it persists, contact DataCamp support about the specific error, and Coinepay support if you suspect the card side.
Managing, renewing and cancelling
Premium subscriptions auto-renew by default. To review or update your card, open Account Settings → Subscription. To cancel an individual web subscription, go to Account Settings → Subscription → Manage Subscription → Continue to Cancel → Confirm Cancellation. If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, cancel through Apple or Google instead.
After you cancel a paid individual term, Premium access normally continues until that term ends; DataCamp's terms state paid individual-plan fees, including unused time, are non-refundable and not prorated. One exception: if a renewal is pending but unpaid, cancelling ends access immediately and cancels that unpaid renewal.
Using Coinepay for your other subscriptions
The same Coinepay virtual card can cover other learning tools, AI subscriptions, software and online shopping, and businesses can issue a dedicated card per ad account with custom spending limits. Issuing a separate card for each recurring service makes it easier to track spending and set the balance you want. Learn more about Coinepay cards at the Coinepay home page.
Card issuance and fund services are provided by licensed partner financial institutions. Some services are not available in every jurisdiction, and virtual-asset-related services are not available to residents of mainland China.
