Canva Pro unlocks premium templates, brand kits, background removal and more for one person. If you want to pay for it with a Coinepay virtual card, this guide walks through what you need, the exact sign-up and checkout steps, and how to troubleshoot a declined payment. Canva handles billing on its own website, so you enter your card details directly in Canva's secure checkout.
What you need before you start
- A Canva account (free to create at canva.com).
- A Coinepay virtual card. Register at Coinepay and complete identity verification (KYC) first, then create a card in the dashboard or the mobile app (iOS / Google Play). Each Coinepay card comes with a card number, expiry date and CVV.
- Enough balance on the card to cover the plan total plus any applicable tax, which Canva adds at checkout.
- Your real billing details (name and address) that match your Coinepay account.
Canva lists Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB and Diners as accepted card networks, and accepts credit and debit cards, PayPal, Google Pay and some country-specific local methods such as iDEAL, Pix, UPI, GCash and GoPay. If you're unsure whether your Coinepay card meets a given requirement, contact Coinepay support before you buy.
How much is Canva Pro?
Canva prices vary by region and are usually shown as a yearly total before tax. At the time of writing (October 2026), the Pro plan for one person was displayed at US$144/year in the United States, £100/year in the United Kingdom, A$165/year in Australia, C$142/year in Canada and €110/year in Spain. In India, Pro was ₹4,000/year, with a region-limited Pro Lite tier at ₹1,590/year; Indonesia's localized page showed monthly pricing. Because prices change and depend on your country, always confirm the payable total on the official Canva pricing page and at checkout.
Canva's current plan line-up is Canva Free, Canva Pro, Canva Business and Canva Enterprise (Enterprise is quote-based). Canva Teams is no longer open to new sign-ups. US and Canadian prices exclude tax; Canva says checkout shows the tax-inclusive total before you confirm.
Step-by-step: subscribe to Canva Pro
- Create a Coinepay virtual card in the dashboard or app and note its number, expiry and CVV. Make sure it has enough balance for the full yearly (or monthly) charge plus tax.
- Log in at canva.com in a web browser. Saved payment methods are managed on the web, not in the Canva app.
- Choose Upgrade your plan or Start your free trial from the homepage.
- Select Pro, then choose monthly or yearly billing.
- Select Next and choose a payment method. Pick the card option to enter your Coinepay card details.
- Enter the card number, expiry date, CVV and the billing name and address that match your Coinepay profile.
- Review the tax-inclusive total shown on the confirmation screen, then confirm the purchase. If a 3-D Secure prompt appears, approve it in your Coinepay app or dashboard.
If you start a free trial, note that trial eligibility is limited to once per Canva account and once per payment method. A trial started without payment details ends without a charge; a trial with a card on file converts to a paid plan when it ends unless you cancel first.
Check and manage your billing
To see your plan, price and renewal, open the account/profile menu on the Canva homepage and go to Settings → Billing (Canva's trial instructions also call this area Billing & Teams). Saved cards are edited here in a browser. If you ever subscribe through Apple or Google billing instead, you manage that payment method through the App Store or Google Play rather than Canva.
Canva's Terms of Use that took effect August 19, 2026 allow plan and price changes, with any subscription price increase taking effect no earlier than your next renewal or 30 days after notice, whichever is later.
Troubleshooting a declined card
If your payment fails, Canva documents several common causes. Work through these before retrying.
Insufficient balance
A virtual card charge fails if the balance can't cover the total including tax. Check your Coinepay balance in the app and top up if needed, then retry. Remember yearly plans charge the full annual amount at once.
Billing address or card details mismatch
Canva lists an incorrect card number, expiry or CVV, and an expired or unsupported card, among decline reasons. Re-enter the details carefully and use the billing name and address registered to your Coinepay account. Even a small mismatch can trigger a decline.
3-D Secure / authorization block
Canva notes that a bank fraud or authorization block, or online/international transactions not being enabled, can stop a payment. If a 3-D Secure verification is required, approve it promptly through your Coinepay app or dashboard. Check your Coinepay notifications for any security prompt and confirm card controls allow the transaction.
Merchant region checks
Canva sells in many regions but not all; it announced it blocked access and stopped payments in Russia in 2022. If your region or payment method isn't supported, the charge won't go through. Use your real location and details—never try to bypass regional checks.
Checkout error message
If you see "We are unable to process payments with credit cards at the moment", Canva suggests checking browser extensions, clearing cache, or switching browser, device or network before retrying.
If the card still won't go through after these checks, reach out to Coinepay support to confirm your card is active and suitable for this merchant.
Failed renewals, cancellation and refunds
When a renewal payment fails, Canva says it retries over the next 16 days while your premium access stays active; if payment keeps failing, the subscription is canceled and the account moves to Free. Keep enough balance on your Coinepay card ahead of renewal to avoid interruption.
To cancel a directly billed plan, go to account profile → Settings → Billing → Cancel plan, complete the confirmation steps and watch for the confirmation email. Cancellation normally stops renewal at the end of the current billing cycle, and fees already paid are not refunded except where law requires, though Canva says it reviews individual refund requests. An approved refund is estimated at 5–10 business days for credit cards (3–5 for PayPal). App Store and Google Play subscriptions must be canceled and refunded through those stores.
A note on availability
Coinepay services require identity verification, and some services are not available in every jurisdiction; services related to virtual assets are not available to residents of mainland China. Coinepay does not serve sanctioned persons or residents of comprehensively sanctioned regions. Use your genuine identity and billing information throughout. For account or card questions, use the Coinepay support channel or Telegram.
