BrowserStack is a cloud testing platform used by developers and QA teams to run their websites and apps across real browsers and devices. Its plans are sold online and renew automatically, so you need a card that works for recurring international charges. This guide explains how to set up a Coinepay virtual card, walk through the BrowserStack checkout, and troubleshoot the most common reasons a card is declined.
Before you start: what you need
To subscribe to BrowserStack smoothly, have the following ready:
- A verified Coinepay account. Register at the Coinepay sign-up page and complete identity verification (KYC) before you try to create a card.
- A Coinepay virtual card with funds loaded. Once issued, you get the card number, expiry date and CVV instantly in the Coinepay dashboard or the mobile app (iOS / Google Play).
- Your real billing details — the name and billing address linked to your identity. Use these exactly; never enter invented details.
- A clear idea of which BrowserStack product and plan you want, since the platform treats each product family as its own subscription.
BrowserStack states that it accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Some PIN-requiring debit cards cannot complete a purchase, and corporate or restricted cards may be blocked by merchant category — more on that below. If you are unsure your Coinepay card meets BrowserStack's requirements, contact Coinepay support to confirm before you buy.
Choose the right BrowserStack plan
BrowserStack sells several distinct products, and they are not interchangeable tiers of one subscription. The main families on the pricing page include Live, App Live, Automate, App Automate, Percy, Test Management and Testing Toolkit, alongside others such as Accessibility Testing, Low Code Automation and Requestly.
At the time of writing (October 2026), the public pricing page displayed USD figures such as the following (shown per month, most billed annually). Always confirm the current figure on BrowserStack's own pricing page, because prices, currency and tax can vary by region:
| Product | Example listed plans (USD) |
|---|---|
| Live | Desktop $29; Desktop & Mobile $39; Team $150; Team Pro $249; Team Ultimate $375 |
| App Live | Individual $39; Team $150; Team Pro $249 |
| Freelancer Plan | $12.50/mo billed annually, or $19 month-to-month (100 minutes, one user) |
| Automate | Chrome $59; Desktop $99; Desktop & Mobile $175; Desktop & Mobile Pro $225 |
| App Automate | Device Cloud $199; Device Cloud Pro $249 |
| Percy | Free $0; Desktop $199; Desktop & Mobile $599 |
| Test Management | Free; Team $99; Team Pro $199 |
| Testing Toolkit | Free; Essentials $25; Team Ultimate $375 |
Volume and Enterprise tiers across these products require a sales quote and are not purchased by card self-service. UK, euro-area and India local-currency prices were not verified, so treat the USD figures as a guide only and check the total at checkout.
One account can use only one billing cycle — monthly or annual, not both at the same time. Pick your cycle before you commit, since switching later affects the whole account.
Note also that BrowserStack's purchase FAQ still mentions annual billing "saving 10%" while the pricing selector advertises savings up to 25%. Rely on the actual total shown at checkout rather than any percentage.
Create and fund your Coinepay virtual card
- Sign in to Coinepay and finish KYC if you have not already.
- Open the card section and issue a new virtual card. The number, expiry and CVV appear immediately.
- Load enough balance to cover the full plan total plus any currency conversion or tax BrowserStack adds. For an annual plan, remember the whole year is charged up front.
- Note the billing name and address associated with your card so you can match them exactly at BrowserStack checkout.
If you manage several projects, you can issue separate virtual cards and set custom spending limits per card to keep BrowserStack spending isolated from other subscriptions.
Step-by-step: pay for BrowserStack at checkout
- Go to BrowserStack's pricing page, or if you are already signed in, open Subscriptions.
- Select the product and plan you want, set the number of parallels or seats where applicable, and choose your billing cycle (monthly or annual).
- Add the eligible plan to the cart and choose Checkout.
- Review the order summary. Confirm the product, quantity, cycle and the total shown in your checkout currency.
- Sign up for a BrowserStack account or sign in to your existing one.
- Enter your Coinepay virtual card number, expiry date and CVV, and the billing address that matches your card.
- Complete any 3-D Secure authentication step if prompted, then confirm. A successful payment activates the plan right away.
You will receive confirmation from BrowserStack, and the charge will appear in your Coinepay transaction history. Keep both for your records.
Troubleshooting a declined card
If payment fails, work through these common causes before trying again.
Insufficient balance
A virtual card is only charged if it holds enough to cover the entire total, including conversion and tax. Check your Coinepay balance against the exact checkout amount and top up if needed. Annual plans charge the full year at once.
Billing address mismatch
Enter the name and billing address exactly as they appear on your Coinepay account. A mismatch between the card's billing details and what you type is a frequent reason for a decline. Correct any typo and retry.
3-D Secure authentication
If BrowserStack triggers an extra verification step, approve it through the method tied to your Coinepay card. Check your Coinepay app for any approval prompt or notification, then complete the purchase.
"Your card does not support this type of purchase"
BrowserStack documents this specific error and lists possible causes: a debit card that requires a PIN, a bank restriction on cross-border use, or a corporate/FSA card limited to certain merchant categories. BrowserStack advises trying a different card. If you see this message, review your card settings in Coinepay and contact Coinepay support to confirm your card is suitable for this purchase.
Merchant region and eligibility checks
BrowserStack's terms require that customers are not prohibited or restricted parties and are not located in embargoed jurisdictions, in line with applicable US export rules. Use your real location and identity. If a legitimate purchase still fails, reach out to BrowserStack support for your account.
BrowserStack does not accept PayPal. Bank transfers, annual invoices and purchase orders, and physical checks (only above $400, with a $50 processing fee) are offered as alternative arrangements, typically for larger or enterprise purchases.
Managing billing after you subscribe
The organization owner can update card and billing details for a website-purchased subscription under Billing & Invoices. Sales-purchased subscriptions must be changed through your account representative or Support.
To stop auto-renewal, the account owner can use Account & Profile → Cancel Plan for a website purchase. A three-dot menu beside plan details is available to a limited A/B-test group only, so you may not see it. Cancelling stops renewal but keeps your access for the rest of the paid cycle and does not delete the account. BrowserStack's terms state fees are generally non-refundable, and it expressly does not refund the remaining period for paid Percy or App Percy cancellations, so cancel before your renewal date if you do not want to continue. The terms, updated February 13, 2026, also permit renewal-fee increases subject to applicable law.
To avoid an unexpected renewal charge on your virtual card, set a reminder ahead of the renewal date and make sure your Coinepay balance reflects your decision to continue or stop.

FAQ
Which card networks does BrowserStack accept?
BrowserStack states it accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. PayPal is not accepted. If you are unsure whether your Coinepay virtual card meets these requirements, contact Coinepay support to confirm before you buy.
Why do I get "Your card does not support this type of purchase" at checkout?
BrowserStack documents this error and lists possible causes: a debit card that requires a PIN, a bank restriction on cross-border use, or a corporate/FSA card limited to certain merchant categories. It advises trying a different card. Review your Coinepay card settings and contact Coinepay support if it persists.
How much does a BrowserStack plan cost?
Prices vary by product and region. At the time of writing (October 2026) the pricing page showed USD figures such as Live Desktop $29 and Automate Chrome $59 per month, but local currency and tax were not verified. Always confirm the total on BrowserStack's official pricing page and at checkout.
Can I cancel BrowserStack and get a refund to my virtual card?
The account owner can cancel a website purchase under Account & Profile → Cancel Plan. Cancelling stops auto-renewal but keeps access until the paid cycle ends. BrowserStack's terms say fees are generally non-refundable, and it does not refund the remaining period for paid Percy or App Percy, so cancel before renewal if you do not wish to continue.
Can I use one card for monthly and another for annual billing?
BrowserStack says an account can have only one billing cycle — monthly or annual — not both at once. Choose your cycle before purchasing, and update the card under Billing & Invoices if you need to change it later.
