You can try using a Coinepay virtual card when subscribing to BILDplus directly on BILD’s website. This guide covers the BILDplus and BILDplus Premium offers, the myPass sign-up and checkout flow, and what to check if a card payment is declined. Card acceptance depends on BILD’s checkout requirements and the checks applied to your payment.
What you need before subscribing
- A Coinepay account and virtual card. Register with Coinepay and complete identity verification before using card services. Coinepay provides the card number, expiry date and CVV in its app and 24/7 self-service dashboard.
- Your real account and billing details. Use your own details when creating a BILD myPass account and entering payment information. Your billing address should match the address associated with your payment details.
- Enough available funds. Check the amount shown at BILD checkout and allow for the applicable subscription charge before submitting your order. You can review your card and available funds in Coinepay.
- An offer you can use. Read the offer’s price, billing cycle, term and regional conditions before buying, particularly if you are signing up outside Germany.
BILD’s direct-subscription FAQ lists SEPA direct debit, PayPal and credit card as payment methods; it does not list payment by invoice. If you intend to use a Coinepay card at the credit-card checkout, contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets BILD’s stated requirement before you buy. BILD’s checkout determines whether a particular card payment is accepted.
Choose the right BILDplus offer
The two standard subscription tiers are BILDplus and BILDplus Premium. Premium adds features including additional ePapers, a second user account and access to Premium events. Check the offer page for the full feature list rather than assuming that every BILDplus promotion includes Premium benefits.
At the time of writing (October 2026), BILD’s published Germany prices were €1.99 per month for the first 12 months and then €7.99 per month for BILDplus. BILDplus Premium was €7.99 per month for the first 12 months and then €12.99 per month. These are Germany offers, not a quote for another country or a promise of the price you will see. Check BILD’s official offer and pricing pages immediately before ordering, including any conditions attached to the displayed price.
Check the name of the offer carefully: BILDplus und Playboy PLUS is a separate bundle, not another name for either standard tier. A promotional or bundled offer may also have terms different from those of the standard subscription.
How to subscribe and pay on BILD’s website
- Open an official BILDplus offer. Start from BILD’s website or an offer attached to a BILDplus article. Choose BILDplus or BILDplus Premium and review the offer details shown for your location.
- Sign in or register. BILD uses a myPass account. Sign in if you already have one, or follow the registration prompts and provide your real information.
- Review the order. Check the selected tier, the amount due, when subsequent monthly charges apply, and the offer’s term and cancellation conditions. If you meant to buy a standard tier, make sure the order does not instead name a bundle.
- Choose the card payment option. For a direct web subscription, select the credit-card option if it is offered to you. Enter the card number, expiry date and CVV shown in your Coinepay app or dashboard. Enter your genuine billing details as requested by BILD.
- Complete any payment check. If checkout asks you to verify the transaction, follow the instructions presented by your card service or payment flow. Do not repeatedly resubmit the order while a verification request is pending.
- Submit and check the result. BILD’s terms identify “Jetzt Kaufen” as the button that submits a binding order. Review everything before selecting it. Look for BILD’s confirmation or access to your subscription, and check your myPass account if the page does not clearly show the outcome.
BILD says the payment method selected for a direct subscription is retained for later monthly charges. Keep the card details current and review future billing dates. If you purchase through a mobile app instead of BILD’s web checkout, billing and subscription management may take place through the relevant app store; the steps above are for a directly billed web subscription.
What to check if your card is declined
A decline does not, by itself, identify the cause. Read any message at checkout, check whether a charge or pending transaction appears in Coinepay, and avoid starting multiple subscriptions while the first order’s status is unclear. The following are troubleshooting checks, not a list of confirmed BILDplus error messages.
Insufficient available funds
Compare your available funds with the exact amount displayed at checkout. An introductory monthly price may differ from the later recurring price, and the amount presented for a particular offer controls what you are agreeing to pay. If funds are insufficient, add funds through the options available in your Coinepay account, then try again once the balance has updated. If you see a pending transaction but no BILD confirmation, check the order status before attempting another payment.
Billing details do not match
Recheck the card number, expiry date and CVV for typing errors. Then confirm that the name and billing address entered at BILD reflect your real details and match the details associated with your payment method. Correct a genuine mistake rather than entering an invented address or changing countries to get past a checkout check.
3-D Secure or another verification step fails
If a verification prompt appears, finish it before returning to checkout. A timed-out, cancelled or incomplete prompt can prevent a payment from finishing. Check the Coinepay app or dashboard for any relevant transaction information. If you cannot complete the requested verification, ask Coinepay support for help with your card; BILD can help clarify the status of the subscription order.
Merchant requirements or regional checks
BILD’s direct-subscription FAQ specifies credit card as a payment option, but that description alone does not establish that every virtual card or card issued outside Germany will work. Contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets the stated payment requirement before buying, and ask BILD about any checkout restriction shown on your order. BILD says an existing subscription can be used abroad, but that does not establish that new sign-up is available in every country. Do not use inaccurate details or other workarounds to bypass regional or payment rules.
How to update a card on an existing subscription
If BILD bills you directly and you need to replace or correct a payment method, sign in and go to Mein Konto → Zahlarten to add or edit it. Then go to Meine Produkte → Zahlart ändern to assign the method to your active subscription. Adding a card under Zahlarten alone does not finish the change. Check the active product afterward to make sure you changed the intended subscription.
If an app store bills you, manage the payment method through that store instead. When you are unsure who bills the subscription, check your purchase confirmation and account details before changing a card in the wrong place.
Cancellation and withdrawal: check your offer
BILD’s offer-page footer provides “Abo kündigen” and “Vertrag widerrufen” options. For a directly billed subscription, BILD’s FAQ also lists [email protected] and 030 58 58 53 39 as contact routes; app-store purchasers should use their store’s subscription-management process.
Read the cancellation deadline in your specific offer. BILD’s older BILDplus FAQ refers to seven days before the paid period ends, while its general terms describe other arrangements depending on the initial term and offer. Do not assume one deadline applies to every tier or bundle.
For qualifying consumer purchases of digital content, BILD describes a 14-day withdrawal period from contract conclusion. That right may end early if you expressly agree to immediate delivery and acknowledge losing the withdrawal right. Withdrawal is different from an ordinary cancellation; review the terms presented with your order if you may want to exercise either option.

FAQ
Can I use a Coinepay virtual card for BILDplus?
You can try it at BILD’s direct web checkout, which lists credit card as a payment option. Contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets that requirement before buying; BILD decides whether the payment is accepted.
Where do I change the card for an existing BILDplus subscription?
For a directly billed subscription, use Mein Konto → Zahlarten to add or edit the method, then Meine Produkte → Zahlart ändern to assign it to the subscription. For an app-store purchase, use the relevant store.
What if BILDplus declines my card?
Check available funds, card and genuine billing details, and any unfinished verification prompt. If checkout shows a regional or card requirement, ask BILD about the restriction and Coinepay support whether your card meets it.
Does BILDplus Premium cost the same as BILDplus?
No. The Germany prices published at the time of writing (October 2026) differed between the tiers and changed after the first 12 months. Check BILD’s current offer before ordering.
