Adobe Acrobat Sign adds legally binding e-signature and agreement workflows to the Acrobat family. If you want to pay for it with a Coinepay virtual card, this guide walks through what you need, how Adobe's checkout works, and how to troubleshoot a declined card. One thing to know up front: Adobe uses the word "payment" for two different things. This article is about paying Adobe for your subscription, not the separate Collect payments feature that lets you gather money from people who sign your agreements.

Which Adobe plan actually includes Acrobat Sign

Adobe distinguishes between its enterprise e-signature product and the signing features bundled into individual and team Acrobat plans:

  • Acrobat Sign Solutions is the standalone, enterprise-grade offering. Its public page directs buyers to Adobe sales rather than publishing a price, and it offers a 30-day enterprise trial with no card or upfront payment.
  • Acrobat Standard, Acrobat Pro and Acrobat Studio are individual plans with e-signature capabilities.
  • Acrobat Standard for teams, Acrobat Pro for teams and Acrobat Studio for teams are the team plans that collect e-signatures. Acrobat Express for teams is listed too, but its feature list does not include signature collection.

At the time of writing (October 2026), US individual pricing showed Standard US$14.99, Pro US$19.99 and Studio US$24.99 per month on annual plans billed monthly; team pricing showed Standard US$16.99, Pro US$23.99 and Studio US$29.99 per license per month on the same terms. Prices, taxes (for example VAT in the UK or GST in Australia) and plan names vary by region, so always confirm the current figure on Adobe's official pricing page before you buy. Because Acrobat Sign Solutions is quoted through sales, you may not pay for it via standard online checkout at all.

What you need before you check out

  • A completed Coinepay account with identity verification (KYC) finished, and a virtual card issued. You can register with Coinepay and manage everything from the dashboard or the mobile app on iOS and Google Play.
  • Your card number, expiry date and CVV, available instantly in the Coinepay app.
  • Enough balance on the card to cover the first charge plus any tax shown at checkout.
  • Your real billing details. Adobe advises that the payment method's country should match your account, so use accurate information and your true identity.
  • An Adobe ID (email and password). You create one during checkout if you don't have it.

Adobe lists credit and debit cards for direct team subscriptions in supported regions, PayPal in select countries and SEPA Direct Debit for eligible EMEA purchases. Adobe's reviewed guidance does not publish a universal brand-acceptance list for its direct checkout, and whether any given merchant accepts a specific card cannot be assumed. If you are unsure, contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets Adobe's requirement before you buy.

Step-by-step: subscribe to Acrobat with a Coinepay card

  1. Open your Coinepay app and check that your virtual card is active with enough balance for the first payment and any tax.
  2. Go to Adobe's official Acrobat pricing page and pick the plan that includes the signing features you need (for example Acrobat Pro or Acrobat Pro for teams).
  3. Choose Buy now or Start free trial. For an online Acrobat purchase you create or sign in to an Adobe account, then complete the on-screen checkout.
  4. Enter your card details from Coinepay: card number, expiry date and CVV.
  5. Enter your billing address exactly as it appears on your Coinepay profile, and make sure the billing country matches your Adobe account country.
  6. Complete any 3-D Secure step. If your bank prompts an extra confirmation, approve it in the Coinepay app or however your card issuer requires.
  7. Review and confirm. Check the plan, billing frequency and total (including tax) before you submit the order.

For Acrobat Sign Solutions specifically, you would typically start the 30-day enterprise trial (no card needed) and then work with Adobe sales to agree licensing and billing, which may fall outside standard card checkout.

Managing your payment method later

  • Individual subscribers: update or switch cards under Adobe account → Plans and payment → Change payment.
  • Direct-purchase team subscribers: go to Admin Console → Account → Payment method → Edit. Only the contract owner can change payment details; reseller customers must contact their reseller.
  • Invoices: the contract owner finds team invoice history under Admin Console → Account → Billing history.

If you keep a Coinepay card dedicated to this subscription, top it up before each renewal so the recurring charge does not fail.

Troubleshooting a declined card

Adobe documents a billing-issue error and a notification that a payment "could not be processed." The published causes include expired or replaced cards, changed billing details, exceeded credit limits and bank fraud controls. Adobe also advises checking funds, card activation and details, matching the payment method's country to the account, and reviewing bank restrictions. Work through these in order:

Insufficient balance

Confirm your Coinepay card holds enough to cover the plan price plus tax. Taxes such as VAT or GST are added on top in many regions, so the final total can exceed the headline price. Top up in the app and retry.

Billing address mismatch

A mismatch between the address on file with your card and the address you typed at checkout is a common cause of "could not be processed." Re-enter the billing details to match your Coinepay profile exactly, and make sure the country is the same as your Adobe account country.

3-D Secure not completed

If an extra verification prompt appears and is not approved in time, the charge fails. Retry and complete the confirmation promptly in the Coinepay app.

Merchant region checks

Adobe says customers in the Canary Islands, Channel Islands, Faroe Islands, Helgoland, Liechtenstein, Madeira, Monaco, French Overseas Departments, and Ceuta and Melilla cannot order through its Store, and it halted new sales in Russia and Belarus. These are store-ordering limits tied to your account region, not something a card change fixes. Use your real location and account country.

Still declined?

If the payment keeps failing after the checks above, confirm your card details and activation in the Coinepay app, then reach out to Coinepay support or our Telegram channel to verify your card is working and suitable for this purchase. For account- or plan-side errors, contact Adobe support.

Cancellation and refunds

To cancel Acrobat Sign service and recurring billing, Adobe instructs the Sign account administrator to submit a support-request ticket from the administrator's email address. Under Adobe's listed US subscription terms, cancelling within 14 days of the initial order gets a full refund; after 14 days, an annual plan billed monthly can incur 50% of the remaining contract balance, and an annual prepaid plan is non-refundable. For a month-to-month plan, cancellation after 14 days is non-refundable and access continues to the end of that billing period. A sales-negotiated Sign Solutions purchase follows its own contract, so check your agreement.

A note on compliance

Coinepay services require identity verification, and card issuance and fund services are provided by licensed partner financial institutions. Some services are not available in every jurisdiction, and virtual-asset-related services are not available to residents of mainland China. Always use your real identity and billing details; never attempt to bypass a merchant's regional or payment checks. If you are unsure whether your card fits Adobe's requirements, confirm with Coinepay support first.

FAQ

Does Adobe Acrobat Sign accept virtual cards?

Adobe lists credit and debit cards for direct subscriptions in supported regions, but its reviewed guidance does not publish a universal brand-acceptance list, and no merchant's acceptance of a specific card can be assumed. Enter your Coinepay card details at checkout, and if you are unsure, contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets Adobe's requirement before you buy.

Which Adobe plan do I need for e-signatures?

Acrobat Standard, Pro and Studio (individual or for teams) include e-signature capabilities, while Acrobat Sign Solutions is the standalone enterprise product quoted through Adobe sales. Acrobat Express for teams does not list signature collection. Confirm the current features and prices on Adobe's official pricing page, as they vary by region.

Why was my Coinepay card declined at Adobe checkout?

Adobe's documented causes include insufficient funds or exceeded limits, changed or mismatched billing details, expired cards and bank fraud controls. Check your Coinepay balance, make sure the billing address and country match your Adobe account, complete any 3-D Secure prompt, then retry. If it still fails, contact Coinepay support.

Can I pay for Acrobat Sign Solutions online with a card?

Acrobat Sign Solutions is quoted through Adobe sales rather than standard online checkout, and it offers a 30-day enterprise trial with no card or upfront payment. Billing is arranged with Adobe and may fall outside normal card checkout, so review your contract for the agreed payment terms.

How do I update the card on my Adobe subscription?

Individual subscribers change it under Adobe account, Plans and payment, Change payment. Direct-purchase team subscribers use Admin Console, Account, Payment method, Edit, and only the contract owner can make the change. Keep your Coinepay card topped up before each renewal.
